There seems to be a lot of anti-Newcastle sentiment on here today. Understandable. But this notion that #Nufc are some kind of yo-yo team with no history? Worth a reminder that before Mike Ashley, Newcastle had been relegated fewer times than Manchester United

Personally, I think Carrick deserves time to try to replicate what he achieved last season but if #ManUtd make a change, going for the big foreign name and ignoring Howe would be such an own goal. He was transformational at Bournemouth and Newcastle. No reason he couldn’t do the same at Old Trafford. #nufc

Fans at Old Trafford singing “Jason Wilcox is a w#^*#* “ Under the circumstances that feels like a show of support for Michael Carrick #mufc #ManUtd

Malick Thiaw has played for 13 coaches already. And he’s only 25. He told me today “If you concede eight goals in two away games there are a lot of aspects to do better, not just defensive and goalkeeper. Also the space in between the midfield and the centre backs.” #nufc

Bruno Fernandes looks like he’s started off as a false 9 for Manchester United today at Leeds. #mufc

7 games in ( 20 % of the season) it’s too soon to make knee jerk reactions but you could argue Newcastle have been second best in all 7 games. Of course the new manager needs to be given time to work with his new players but the current trajectory is very concerning for #nufc

This feels concerning for Newcastle. Conceding 8 goals at Coventry and Leeds should tell you they are too open and easy to play against. It was similar against Bournemouth and the 2nd half v Hull. Drop one of Pardo and Wissa and play an extra midfielder? #nufc

Really like Wissa as a centre forward but not as a 10. The gap between the defensive midfielders and him always feels too big which gives the opposition too much space to play through Newcastle. #nufc

It’s back! #mufc #mcfc

I don’t think I’ll be going to the Tyson Fury v Anthony Joshua fight! #Fury #Joshua #boxing
