Day 16/ You can now cache for 12h in the API and for logged in users across Codex & Work we keep cache forever and you don’t have any penalty for coming back to an old conversation or resuming after a few hours and are now guaranteed to hit the cache.

Pro 500 also had the same usage limits as Pro 200 because of this bug They're getting $1k worth of credits, which is 20M GPT-6 Astra output tokens, imo not a lot but I'm not a Pro 500 user so...

Update: some users saw their usage limits drop because a bug had temporarily given them higher limits. That’s now been fixed, which is why their limits feel lower

thanks openai but this doesnt change the fact that plus tier limits make plus tier absolutely completely unusable. why does plus tier even exist if the limits make it literally completely unusable? i was just forced today to upgrade to pro 5x bc i couldnt even use gpt-6 luna high on plus tier without hitting 5 hr limit after one small task and draining more than 10% of weekly usage.

We're getting Fable 5.5 and Gemini 4 Carbon this month according to The Information But also GPT-6.1 Terra So either Terra is now extremely good and capable, surpassing GPT-6.1 Sol, which wouldn't make sense, or it's actually over for OpenAI I'm sure they know how much people want a new SOTA model from them and that a new Terra model worse than GPT-6.1 Sol would destroy all faith in them on X so let's wait and see what happens, they could also be releasing a new Astra at the same time

I miss when OpenAI was more transparent about their roadmap Sam’s posts telling us what to expect in the next month or two, what they were working on, why some models didn’t hit the mark, etc I get that no other company does this and it’s a very competitive market, but it’d still be nice to get that back

GPT-6.1 Terra is in a Microsoft PR Microsoft updated 18 evaluation configs from GPT-5.6 Terra to GPT-6.1 Terra Wouldn't be surprised if we get this soon
