Action.
Not talk.
If Smith et al wants to ‘unify the party’ then we need to actual action with actual results.
Not words.
Not MOUs.
Not conferences.
Not endless Impact Assessments.
West coast tanker ban completely removed and shovels in the ground.
It’s in their court.
This is nothing to do with actual separation.
I’m really tired of the ‘these things take time’ argument.
Apparently what it takes is actual leadership with vision. Something we haven’t had in a very long time in Alberta.
These are things that Quebec has had for decades. There is absolutely zero reason for Albertans to not have the same.
In response to UCP president, Rob Smith’s letter to membership.
@Alberta_UCP
@UCPCaucus
Super easy solution to all of this.
DO WHAT YOU ACTUALLY CAMPAIGNED ON WITH THE MANDATE YOH RECEIVED WHEN WE ELECTED YOU!
Where is the provincial police force?
Why have you not pushed the federal government for that ‘number’ so we can move forward with discussion about a provincial pension? If they won’t give it, move forward anyways.
Why did we have to vote on immigration questions that you already knew the answer to and had a mandate to do?
Why is Alberta not collecting all the taxes yet?
Why is the premier pretending that the 9 bad laws are gone and we can build pipelines to the coast?
Albertans are so very very tired of stupid party games.
Of wondering ‘what happened to Danielle Smith?’
Of holding their noses when they go to vote because we can’t get a leader who actually does what they campaigned on but heaven forbid we have the NDP.
If our leaders won’t do what they campaigned on, what’s the difference? Who cares if we get the NDP if we don’t get the leader and government we actually voted for? At least we know from the get-go that they are compromised and crazy. Rather than dealing with the disappointment of what we have now.
SMH that we’re pretty much back to a Kenney situation. I’ve got tickets to the AGM but don’t know if I want to waste a good weekend supporting more of the charade. A large part of the hope Albertans had for independence was the opportunity to reset the system, get to a place of true democracy, away from party politics, politicians who are only concerned with if they get elected next year and who have zero actual vision for the province past the next election cycle.
We are oh, so very, tired of it all.

It's going to be all ok.
Sit back.
Let the dust settle.
Regroup.
And go!
Our first video since the referendum.
Things might be a little crazy right now.
It's ok to feel a lot of different emotions but we promise you, it's going to be ok...

My brother, who has been watching the Alberta referendum from overseas, sent me this today. I don’t know if these are his words or originally someone else’s but they make total sense considering what we have all witnessed the past four months.
“I'm not convinced a democracy is the best form of governance. It has a fatal flaw.
A person who has spent their entire life studying the issues has the same voting power as a fool who knows nothing. The uneducated far out number the intelligent and are swayed easily with sweet words and manipulation. It's a system that favours the popular vote as opposed to common sense.
Unfortunately I don't know a better alternative…”

To all those who have supported us the last 18 months by opening your living rooms and backyards, we give a huge THANK YOU!
To all those who supported us during the referendum campaign with donations & distribution of signs we give a huge THANK YOU!
While we were focused on education and respectful dialogue long before the referendum was called, we remain so now. We've decided to take a few days to let the dust settle and think about what that may look like. We will be doing a video and newsletter on Thursday.
With much love to each of you,
Kathy and Angela
Let’s do it!
Today!💖 Yes to the 9, Option 2 on Question 10!

Kills me that our ‘conservative’ premier is on the same team as these folks and their hypocrisy.
A few years ago, these people said we were in a post-national state and that there was no “Canada.”
They tore down statues and cheered.
They burnt down churches and cheered.
They demonized great Canadians who built Canada and cheered.
They turned on fellow citizens and cheered.
Don’t believe a word they say.
Just finished my last meeting as the co-founder of Alberta Women for Independence. It was a discussion with some ladies around a kitchen table in north Edmonton. Beautiful mommas looking out for the best future for their kiddos!
I have felt so privileged to be invited into so many homes across Alberta the last 18 months. My heart has grown with every new connection and friend made. Albertans have truly come together in strength, knowledge and community!
I’m so grateful for my sister-in-crime @kathyflett1 Kathy Flett who has truly become a sister to me. ❤️❤️
Coincidentally, and unbeknownst to us when we started working together, we both have our share of some crazy backgrounds and trauma. That might explain a lot! I’m grateful to God who has allowed both of us individually and together to rise above! Kathy is a good and loyal friend and Albertan.
And of course my Jeffrey who has spent so many evenings and nights at home, caring for our business while I was traipsing across the province. He is the best friend and most supportive husband I could ever have!
I’m hoping and praying that we as Albertans choose to continue the conversation by voting Option 2 on Monday. This province is just too amazing and beautiful to send down with the sinking ship we now sit on.
See you at the rally tomorrow afternoon!
😘
On my way to Edmonton for one last @ABWomensNetwork get-together and the rally tomorrow.
Nothing’s going to stop us AGHHHHH!!!!
Today I went and voted with my sweet daughter. We had her two year-old and one month old in tow.
I love these beautiful people in my life and they are the reason I voted to keep the conversation going about Alberta independence. ❤️❤️❤️
Questions 1-9 yes.
Question 10 option 2.
Unbelievable.
We need a complete and total reset.
And then this is brought to my attention.
@ElectionsAB this event is being held on the same grounds as an advanced polling station. Isn't that illegal?
I joined @johnrbolton01 for an early morning video.
Please let your voice be heard on all the referendum questions.

I have zero patience for politicians and their games.
Vote Option 2 for the chance to do a total reset on a system that rewards corrupt, weak behaviour.

The courage and integrity it took to wait until less than a week before the referendum to come out with this statement is astounding.
We will see more of this in the coming weeks as spineless, feckless politicians stand with their fingers in the wind trying to read the crowd before deciding which way betters their chances of reelection.
Premier Smith is taking a mandate (to act or not) no matter what message you think you are sending by declining the nine.
