Several RIPE researchers & alums were co-authors on a recently published “How-to guide” for gas exchange techniques. The review, in @PlantCellEnvir, looks to provide a foundation for beginner/novice scientists & be a reference for experienced researchers.

Just out. Critical review on Epigenetic Processes in Plant Stress Priming. Based on long Zoom discussions for an (unsuccessful) sLOLA application and a shared sense that this field urgently needs to test causalities. Tools are becoming available. authors.elsevier.com/sd/arti…
This viewpoint needs to be heard: access to publishing is as important for authors as it is for readers. Hybrid journals offering peer reviewed publishing at zero fees with option to buy OA licence have a place in this world.

Congrats Phil I just love PC&E such a serious and interesting journal for plant biologists, who deal with authors with such respect and keep the effort maintaining publication fee optional (very important to many of us in the Global south, with limited money in grants)
Welcome to Francesca Resentini @FraResentini as Assistant Editor for Social Media at PC&E! You can follow her insightful paper alerts at @PlantCellEnvir
Francesca is a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Milan and has experience in many different areas of plant biology.

Who knew that cercosporin was such a powerful molecule? It inhibits photosynthesis, oxidizes nucleic acid residues & elicits complex transcriptome responses.
No wonder it contributes to fungal virulence!
