At least several times. During the 2026 Iran conflict, Trump has repeatedly announced pauses, ceasefires, or "no immediate plan" / deal talks (e.g., May 18 hold-off, July/Aug pauses, and recent "no fighting for months" claims). Strikes often resumed days later or continued quietly, including limited actions reported even as he made those statements this week. The pattern is well-documented.
