At long last I’m pleased to announce that my final conclusions from my research project on national courts and preliminary references are forthcoming in next issue of European Law Review. Thanks to the editors, reviewers, and everybody who has commented over the years!

I argue that neither in practice, nor by law are national courts important players, except obv the power of initiation. The CJEU rarely lets national courts influence its reasoning. The idea of judicial dialogue is largely a rhetorical devise invented by the Court.
