how i built this 👇 a video sliced into frames and stacked along a time axis, sitting on my real table in quest passthrough. no app install, all on the web with IWSDK + three.js ✨ someone called it cyberpunk braindance and honestly yeah 😆

In one day, two politicians - Bolsonaro in Brazil and Vucic in Serbia - with ties to Trump and his family have lost surprise elections, thanks to high turnout. The rise of the international far-right is not inevitable.
I finally had some time to vibe code something! Travel through all of human history, and see human civilization emerge by simply scrolling. Nice little collab between Claude and myself, with data from the Hammond Graphic History of Mankind. I really love finding ways to make complex data more fun to explore. Liam's been prototyping LaneMate for the Meta Ray-Ban Display: a camera behind the bowler tracks the ball and the pins, and in your AR glasses you see your line as you roll, your speed and breakpoint, and the suggested line for your next throw. As someone who isn't a bowler, this genuinely helps to understand what you should be doing.

Here’s how @Simulon Reality-Aware Rendering works. I placed my raptor next to the water and dropped a stone in to see how he’d respond.
His 3D placement sets his starting position and scale. When the recording starts, he becomes a ghost, leaving me to shape the performance through actions, gestures and spoken instructions. Simulon uses the recorded scene to generate his behaviour and integrate him into the footage afterward.
Instead of typing a prompt, spinning the slot machine and hoping for the best, you can show it, say it and perform it. Your intent, timing and spatial context are right there in the recording. It’s a much more intuitive way to create.
This breakdown is generated procedurally, summarising the actual reasoning behind the result.

128,000 particles steering through a curl + perlin flow field, every segment drawn into one 2048 square that is never cleared. it only ever ran inside processing. the three.js port lands within 2% of the original, and that whole 2% is anti-aliasing.

Yesterday we were invited to speak at the AI Glasses Community Summit, bringing together creators building for the Ray-Ban AI glasses, hosted by @Meta. We shared Airmeter, our app that turns invisible air quality data into something you can see and act on.
But the highlight was hearing the other speakers, especially the disabled creators who spoke about how they already use AI glasses every day, and how voice-first interaction and camera-powered devices are changing the way they move through the world for the better.
It was inspiring to hear the mix of different life experiences and creator stories, and that will inform the projects we are developing.
Thanks to the team at @Meta, and Stepan Soukenik in particular for inviting us, and everyone for sharing your experiences and apps.

the problem is always the people never the tech.
this is exactly why i’m getting reluctant sharing gen art WIPs now.
context: 1+ year working on this sharing, testing, iterating, building the whole system, then you wake up to a vibe-coded a clone, no DM/ask/nothing. The "spending a year to build something takes far too long these days" reply illustrates the whole problem here. the model didn't take a year because it didn't have to since i already did the hard parts, you copied the decisions. following the thought, if anyone can rebuild anything in 20m then the only thing left that's worth anything is the vision. and that's exactly what's being taken.
don't get me wrong: i'm pro AI. and i'm from deep ic. i've made memes, remixed stuff, riffed on internet culture forever, people who follow me know. that's not the issue here. the issue is taking an artist's unreleased work and shipping your copy first. that's stealing food from my mouth, and that's where i draw the line.
forget IP law for a sec. given you have a soul, you don't need a lawyer to know what's wrong. one DM like "hey mind if i try a version of this?" that's all it takes. again: moral. and the cost isn't just mine, been having these talks with lots of artists friends for the past months. so now every artist has to wonder if sharing process = handing out free blueprints. and that kills the best part of this place. not the internet i've lived for and want to build for.
back to creating. and now you know why i'm sharing fewer WIPs publicly, at least until i'm at peace with it.
