Lorne Doerkson is the most honourable and decent politician I’ve ever had the privilege of working for. The perfect man for the job. No one is more deserving. British Columbia’s accidental (but not so accidental) Premier.

I think the NDP should listen to Wyatt. In fact, I advise all my political opponents to hire Wyatt Claypool immediately.
Genuinely the only smart choice for the BC NDP is George Anderson. Brad West isn’t resigning as mayor to become opposition leader. Anderson is a Blue NDP MLA and would move them back to the centre-Left. I’m on the Right but this is my best advice as someone who likes seeing the game board from different player positions.

Sounds like people who called themselves a serious party were not prepared, didn’t know how to raise money, didn’t know how to organize signatures and most of all didn’t know how to deliver votes. Other than that — great job.

People will try and mock me over OneBC's election performance as if we had the same budget and infrastructure as the CPBC or NDP and failed. Guys...we had a tiny fraction of the budget of other parties and little infrastructure to organize candidates in 93 ridings. At one point we had candidates lined up for 75 ridings. But people with full-time jobs, especially in rural ridings understandably have a difficult time filling out all the paperwork and getting 75 signatures (really over 100 since some are inevitably invalid) in a week or less. So over 70 candidates given election packages dropped from people having to pull out, or not being able to meet the tight deadline. In some areas we went through 2 or 3 people who understandably couldn't find the time to put together a campaign. I get it, they were all very nice and honourable people but life obviously got in the way of a snap election campaign. OneBC's plan if the election was in 2028 was to take a year to set up party boards in every riding and then go into election readiness mode for the year after that. Then everything could be decentralized and each board could nominated their candidate and build the campaign around their board members. But Eby decided to politically execute himself and make himself the chief villain of the snap election and completely box out any conversation past "who can beat Eby the easiest because we all hate him." So now we are in a situation where OneBC will move forward having to act as a watchdog on the CPBC government from outside of the legislature and try and push them to be more Conservative while we start trying to build CA boards after giving voters a much needed break from political chaos. At the end of the day I'm very proud of @Dallas_Brodie and the OneBC team. Dallas stood up to so many pressures that would have broken most people and was able to carry on with a smile. Those who attack Dallas Brodie should remember that they live in the political world she helped create through punching a hole through many Left-wing political taboos other Conservatives were too scared to touch, and unfortunately many are still too afraid to touch. I would do it all over again for her and the team. They were the men and women in the arena who kept pushing to create political and cultural change in BC while being sneered at by those who only care about election outcomes and nothing past that. Even in this election OneBC has served the role of holding up a rhetorical measuring stick to the agenda of the new government. Regardless of votes we put forward an alternative plan can can be looked to by grassroots Conservatives as a better standard for what the government should be aiming to do if the changes implemented fall short of the results voters wanted to see.

Hey @LDoerkson , please give us just one win here. We know no members voted for you to lead the party, but here’s your chance to give them something worth applauding. Please, for the love of all that is good, don’t hand out any party contracts or financial support to @WDiminishment. We’ve all suffered through enough empty platitudes, word salads, and thousands of words strung together to communicate absolutely nothing of substance. If you need a more progressive voice, throw a bone to someone like @vancolour. But PLEASE, spare this province the collective brain damage of another round of CHUD communications.

Imagine telling ANYONE
Imagine telling a Democrat in 2015 that Trump would win twice, compliment Nicki Minaj’s “big, beautiful ass” at a rally, and she’d stand up beaming like he’d just awarded her the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Election salaries were allegedly just a drop in the bucket compared to the bonuses paid out by the party following the election. Sure would be nice if the BC Conservatives opened their books and showed the public exactly who received what, and how much taxpayer-funded per-vote subsidy money was involved. But that would require transparency, something this party seems to be allergic to.

Going through the numbers this morning a few things stand out: 1. Thank you Surrey. Winning 10/10 in BC's fastest growing city makes winning inevitable. 2. Burnaby is no longer an orange fortress. Two seats and a hairs breath from a total sweep. 3. The Tri-Cities where Mike Farnworth barely survived amid the blue wave. 4. A shoutout to my friends @DPinBC and @brookepigott whose internal polling saw this result coming weeks ago. The polling barely moved over the course of the election despite what some of our public polling friends said.

It’s cool to be kind. David Eby isn’t cool. And he lost. Being kind wins elections. Always define your opponents, never attack them. Congrats to @BenWoodfinden, @Anthony__Koch, @angeloisidorou, and everyone else who contributed to this historic victory! The future is bright for Canadian conservatives.

For the international crowd, the Conservative Party of British Columbia won because it purged the more MAGA wing of the party in a civil war.
JUST IN: Conservatives just won a landslide majority in British Columbia, Canada, returning to power for the first time since 1928. And Brazil is about to elect a conservative President Flavio Bolsonaro. MAGA is spreading worldwide.
