Česká reprezentace, která během základní skupiny pobývá v texaském městě Fort Worth, přijala pozvání městské samosprávy k návštěvě místní čtvrti Stockyards. 🇺🇸

USA. Summer. It is 95 degrees outside, and I am shivering inside a sandwich shop.
I have discovered how Americans forge strong souls.
Outside, the sun is trying to kill everyone. Inside this small restaurant, it is winter. My breath does not fog, but it is thinking about it. A man near me is eating a cold sandwich while wearing a jacket. In summer. Indoors.
In Japan we would simply turn it down. Americans do not turn it down. And now I understand them better than they understand themselves.
This cold is not an accident. This cold is a gift.
The owner has built, inside his shop, a second season. He invites you in from the brutal heat and hands you the one thing the sun has denied you all day: a reason to be cold. To endure it is to be tempered. You walk in soft and sweating. You walk out sharp and clear, a slightly stronger person than you were.
So I did not complain. I removed my outer layer and offered it to the woman at the next table, who was hugging herself. She said, "Oh, no, I'm fine, thank you." She was not fine. Her lips were blue. But she, too, understood the training. She would not break first. I respected her deeply.
The owner asked if everything was okay.
"It is perfect," I said, through my teeth, which were chattering. "Thank you for the winter."
He said, "...I can turn the AC down if you want?"
I told him no. A man does not ask the mountain to be shorter.
I stayed two hours. I ordered a hot coffee to survive. Then a second one, to hold. By the end I could no longer feel my hands, but my spirit had never been clearer.
So now, on the hottest days, I seek out the coldest rooms. I sit. I shiver. I sharpen.
And when I finally step back out into the summer heat, and it wraps around me like a warm bath, I feel it.
Reborn.
A man who has survived the winter, in August, indoors, for the price of a sandwich.

“You’re going to miss me when I’m gone, Anon. You mocked me, but I was your shield. I held them back as long as I could. I kept the barbarians at the gate. Your United ‘Economy Plus’ seat will never be the same. You’re on your own now. Good luck, cowboy. You’re going to need it.”
The flag that Rick Monday rescued 50 years ago today is headed to Cooperstown!
OTD in 1976, Monday, a Cubs outfielder and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, grabbed an American flag from two protesters who had run onto the field at Dodger Stadium and attempted to burn it.
Monday, the longtime Dodgers broadcaster who played 19 years in the Major Leagues, was a two-time All-Star and a World Series champion, has often been asked about the moment.
“If that’s all you’re ever remembered for, that’s not a bad thing at all,” Monday told MLB Network in 2016.
Monday still owns the flag and it will be on loan to the Baseball Hall of Fame this summer as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration. In addition, Monday will be honored on July 25 during induction weekend.

正直、アメリカ人がこんなに日本を愛してくれてるとは知らなかった。
むしろ、アメリカ人は日本を下に見ていると思ってた。左翼にそう思わされてた。
実際には尊敬してくれていると知って、心があたたかくなってる。

NEW VIDEO: LVMPD Investigating Arson & Vandalism at Tesla Facility
At approximately 2:45 AM, LVMPD received multiple 911 calls reporting vehicles on fire at a Tesla collision and sales center near the 6200 block of Badura. Witnesses reported seeing a suspect in black clothing setting multiple vehicles on fire.
Officers arrived to find several Teslas ablaze and the word “RESIST” spray-painted on the front of the business. Clark County Fire Department quickly extinguished the flames, while LVMPD K9 and ARMOR units worked to secure the scene.
What we know so far:
▶️ At least five Tesla vehicles were damaged, with two fully engulfed in flames.
▶️ The suspect used Molotov cocktails and a firearm to conduct the attack.
▶️ Evidence suggests at least three rounds were fired into vehicles.
▶️ An unexploded Molotov cocktail has been recovered and is being processed.
This appears to be a targeted attack on a #Tesla facility. There is no ongoing threat, but out of an abundance of caution, we have increased patrols around Tesla locations. Our Major Case Protocol has been enacted, ensuring a thorough 24/7 investigation with additional resources.
The FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force is investigating alongside LVMPD.
Federal agents, including bomb technicians, WMD experts, and forensic specialists, have been on scene since early this morning.
⚠️Make no mistake: this is a federal crime. Acts like these will not be tolerated.

Syrian Christians and Alawites are being slaughtered in Syria by soldiers of the ISIS/AlQaeda terrorist government. The death toll is 1800 in just the last few days, with many victims still missing. Entire villages are being slaughtered by these terrorist govt forces. These pictures are of just some of the Christian and Alawite victims from the last few days. This is what we warned would happen if the secular Syrian Government was removed. Pray for the Christians & other minorities in Syria. 🙏🏼✝️ @POTUS @SecRubio @UN @antonioguterres
