One chain, two signature rules, and the split is deliberate. Native lane: every transaction needs an ML-DSA-87 signature. Strip it and the transaction is rejected at signature verification. EVM lane: classical ECDSA, so Hardhat, Foundry and ethers.js keep working on chain ID 9801. Mainnet live
