**“HE WALKED IN LIKE HE’D ALREADY DECIDED THIS WAS HOME.”** The call had been routine—another flooded basement, another soaked street. Then they found him standing on the curb, dripping, caked in mud, gripping a once-white stuffed rabbit so tightly the seams were starting to give. He wouldn’t let go. Not for the first towel, not for the second, not even when they lifted him into the cab. Every time someone reached, he just shifted the toy to the other side of his mouth and kept walking, like the rabbit was the only piece of his old life he was willing to carry. Back at the station the bay doors were open and the concrete still held the chill of the night. Engine B-9 idled quiet. The crew watched the little blue heeler plant himself in the middle of the floor, ears flicking at every sound, rabbit dangling, and just… stand there. No barking. No circling. Just waiting. Mark was the first to step forward. “Hey buddy,” he said, voice low. “You look happy.” The dog’s eyes half-closed the moment the hand settled between his ears. A soft, tired lean. The rabbit stayed clamped, but the rest of him went still in that way only dogs do when they finally decide the danger has passed. Someone behind them laughed under their breath—quiet, the kind of laugh that means you’re trying not to get emotional in front of the crew. “Good boy,” Mark murmured. The dog’s tail gave one slow wag against the concrete. Not the frantic kind. The kind that says *I heard you*. They still don’t know where he came from. No collar, no chip, just the rabbit with the purple stitching and a dog who chose the firehouse floor over every other place he could have run. Now he sleeps under the engine, rabbit tucked under his chin, and when the tones drop he lifts his head like he’s listening for the next person who might need saving. Sometimes the smallest things you refuse to let go of are the ones that finally lead you home.

What’s the most underrated rivalry in tennis history? 👀🎾 Andy looks beyond the iconic Federer-Nadal rivalry and makes the case for Monica Seles vs. Steffi Graf as one of tennis's greatest rivalries that never got to reach its full potential.

Great!
Friends! I just wanted to tell you that everything is going well so far. I am taking my thyroid medicine really well, and I quite like the dry renal support food. I have had quite a relaxed day and Mum is very proud of me 🩶

Friends! Firstly, if you live in the UK, don’t forget your clocks should have gone back during the night! 🕰️ Secondly, we hope you are all safe from #StormBoelo - it’s been extremely windy and rainy here and we don’t have the worst of it. Mum had to lock us out of the Catio 🙀 The storm has made Percy very skittish indeed! He’s obsessed with the noise of the rain on the skylight. Mum struggled to keep up with him as she was filming! 😹

Friends! I have NEWS! Firstly, thank you so much for all the comforting and reassuring comments you gave us yesterday. Mum didn’t want to admit how worried she was but she had a horrible day waiting for my blood test results to come through. You all helped SO MUCH. Results: I do have thyroid issues, but the Vet said it can be treated with medication which I will start today. I also have stage one kidney failure, but this is not terrible for my age. The vet said it could be a lot worse. I am switching to special renal support food and the vet is going to keep a close eye on me. So no need to worry. Here’s me eating my breakfast this morning. As you can see, I have a healthy appetite. And watch to the end to see what happens at the end of every meal! 😹

When I was a young beat writer, I was hospitalized with a life-threatening blood clot and scared to death. One of the first bouquets to arrive was from Jerry Jones and the Cowboys. I have never forgotten that kindness.

Keith later said that the song wasn't written about a woman; he just wrote it about an imaginary woman. He was also the same person who wrote 'Ruby Tuesday'. He could write tender songs

At the time it was speculated that Mick Jagger had written the words about Angela Bowie, David Bowie's wife. But no. Mick didn't write it. This guy did
