In Australia, pardons are rare. But, if we look to the research from oversees about the experiences of exonerees when they are released from prison, we see that there are serious challenges that lie ahead.
Proud to have co-written this piece with the incredible @celinevangolde
One in three wrongfully convicted women were convicted of crimes that involved harming children.
Once pardoned or exonerated, they experienced significant psychological and practical challenges.
