As we celebrate #worldmusicday Arbor Primary were treated to a performance from Sandhu, a tabla expert and Jodh one of his students who also attends The Arbor School. It was wonderful to hear this rich musical culture live….our students even joined in with the performance!

Over the last few weeks, Year 2 have focused on writing their own stories and creating their own books. Today, 2AB went to read their stories to Year 1. The children loved hearing the stories and 2AB showed great levels of confidence. 📖📚✍️
2AB had a great day visiting the bees! We loved wearing our suits and learning all about the bees here at Arbor! 🐝🍯
For STEM fortnight, 2AB are learning all about planets. We have made paper mache planets and researched facts to create informative posters! 🪐
Year 2 getting the measure of things. Using our outdoor spaces to learn about objects we should measure in both metres and centimetres.
Our #STEM fortnight continues with a look at time and space. We made foldable books showing the phases of the moon and also created sundials to tell the time throughout the day. It sparked off our interest in space and so many enthusiastic questions were asked! #handsonlearning
We had so much fun exploring structures in our unit on Materials. We experimented with different designs and materials to create the tallest tower we could. #STEM #Handsonlearning
Year 2 were fortunate to have experienced the Cosmic dome to learn about light years and how the earth and other planets orbit the sun.
We used our fabulous indoor and outdoor learning spaces to begin our unit on measure. Year 2 measured objects using standard and non-standard units. #makinglearningfun #STEM
Year 2 had a fantastic day at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club and @DubaiFrame
We met Arabian horses, tried dates and camel milk, learned how to use polo mallets and had a go at archery! We then went to explore the past, present and future of Dubai at Dubai Frame! What a great day!
