->M1941 Johnson Rifle:
the semi-auto that almost replaced the Garand.
Designed by Marine Capt. Melvin Johnson (Harvard-trained lawyer and gun designer), this short-recoil, rotary-bolt rifle had a unique 10-round rotary magazine you could top off with stripper clips or single rounds even with a cartridge in the chamber.
The easily detachable barrel made it ideal for Para-Marines.
It lost the adoption fight to the M1 Garand due to production logistics and institutional preference, but Marine Raiders and Paramarines carried it into Guadalcanal and the Solomons. Medal of Honor recipient Capt. Robert Dunlap used one (SN A0009) at Iwo Jima and credited it with saving lives.
A true underdog of WWII small arms that proved itself in the Pacific mud. #WWII #MilitaryHistory #JohnsonRifle #USMC

Welcome to CALIFORADO!
You might be a Califoradoan if you moved here to escape California and immediately started a petition to make it more like California.
You might be a Califoradoan if your mountain bike costs more than the pickup you complain is ruining the neighborhood.
You might be a Califoradoan if you bought a house next to a ranch and filed a complaint about the cows.
You might be a Califoradoan if you want to preserve the town’s rustic character, starting with getting rid of everybody who made it rustic.
You might be a Califoradoan if you call it your “mountain retreat” and your neighbors call it “where Earl’s trailer used to be.”
You might be a Califoradoan if you paid a million dollars for the view and now want the county to pave the road you came to escape.

For those of us that have been watching, this comes to no surprise, but for those people who are clueless, this guy makes a great video of Democrats game plans and how they succor people into voting for them.
