Chelsea release new kit - not good enough with no sponsor Chelsea clear out deadwood - not good enough, too slow. Chelsea sign Jackson - not good enough Chelsea discussing Caicedo deal with no leaks - not good enough too slow. Chelsea have 2 sponsors lined up that fall through - not good enough Chelsea sign emerging talent from South America - not good enough, not first team players …………………………. OR ………………………………… Chelsea release amazing kit, with great 90’s reference and captivating lead up. Chelsea manage to halve wage bill, get rid of players who don’t want to be here and clear bloated squad in record time Nicolas Jackson looks like an exciting player, let’s see how he goes in pre season. Chelsea being intelligent in the transfer market and don’t want to get into a bidding war. Chelsea had an unbelievable deal with Paramount lined up but the PL got cold feet, not our fault. Chelsea finally unearthing young talent that prevents us from having to buy them in 3 years time for 10x the price. It’s optics. You can choose to kick the club you support, or you can choose to support them and understand context in every situation. Ultimately the choice is yours but this is an new era and it’s time to put the past behind us and try and see the positives that are happening at the moment. New manager, new team and new season ahead.

Football is a wonderful sport we all love. Football is 3 things for me. Winning, entertainment and being part of a community. Too many people are transfixed with how you win. The feeling I get walking away from Stamford Bridge with 3 points will ALWAYS supersede how we played. I have seen it all. From Hoddle, Vialli, Gullit, Mourinho, Ranieri, Conte, Tuchel, Potter, Lampard, Ancellotti to name a few. The one thing I had in common with all of them, was the feeling I had after a win. Yes, I want to be entertained, of course I want to see pretty patterns of play and watch amazing goals. After all, football is theatre, but that takes time. For some managers it’s lands quicker than others, some are fortunate that they have the right players at the right time. Some get bought those players and it works and for some, it never materialises. What I want at Chelsea now is long term stability. I want a manager who represents the club and understands the importance of winning. I want a manager who has a long term objective and I believe we have that in Alonso. I totally get why people are still pissed off post Spurs. It was a car crash, but it’s also a car crash where we all got out of the car with no major injuries. We are 5th, the players are still learning and the season is young. If Alonso is playing shit football at the end of the season then we can talk, but until then, we sadly just have to expect a bit of a rollercoaster. The ride might even out soon or we might be in for more bumpy turns but it’s about the end goal. Mentality change (still hasn’t happened but getting better) and creating a winning machine. With whatever style is required. Please give Alonso time. We are lucky to have him after the shit show of the last 4 years!

The truth is this season was always going to be a rollercoaster. Losing to Spurs makes the defeat worse but the season has barely started. Long way to go.

Thursday - Patriots very average Saturday - Chelsea, disgustingly average Sunday - England Cricket - embarrassing Good weekend for me. Even hate watches don’t work. Not sure Man U firing Carrick is going to be good for us next week either. Liverpool and Arsenal in form again. Man City losing was the only glimmer of hope this weekend.

Cole Palmer is an idiot. If he hadn’t put all the attention on him by reacting to the handball then VDV would have got a red card for his tackle on Caicedo.
🚨 Should this have been a RED CARD for Cole Palmer ? #CHETOT

For the mad people that want Alonso out and Cesc in, Fabregas is 2.5 years into his job there. That football didn’t happen overnight. Alonso needs to learn but he also needs time. He also needs a CM to partner Caicedo. I am not making excuses. Today was as bad as it gets. Tuchel v Argentina bad. But he has to learn and quick. Spurs played us off the park in pre season and did the same today. He fully DeZerbs the shit he is getting today but there was plenty of positives this season that we have to hold onto too. Season still in its infancy. Beat Liverpool and Utd next week and all is forgiven (almost, this one might take a while 🫣🤣)

Big week ahead. Away to Liverpool and home to Man Utd. Two very difficult games. Going to be very interesting to see where we are by this time next week. Big lessons to learn. Players and manager need to wake up. Things can change very quickly in football for good and bad……

Can’t think of a single player that has played well at all. Not one.

I am afraid that Alonso has been totally and utterly schooled today. Fair play to De Zerbi. He set out the perfect game plan.

Sadly I was right. Mentality is still immature and tactically we were awful today. Played off the park because we missed one player isn’t good enough sadly. Everyone spent yesterday saying this was going to be an easy 3 points. Spurs are a good side. We have been as bad as I have seen for a while. Massive lessons to learn.
Spent the last 4 years going into a game like this thinking the worst. Let’s see if it’s same as usual or if Xavi really is changing this team both from a playing perspective but a mentality one too. Historically this game concerns me but it’s also a really good chance to see if we are heading in the right direction. Still loads of quality in the team and a manager I am fully behind.

Tough game today. Awful conditions and playing a Spurs team who simply haven’t been as poor as their results suggest. This isn’t some walkover that people are suggesting.

Jackson always had potential but was wildly inconsistent. No point in saying we should have kept him. JP is a better striker and Jackson never wanted to be a back up. He needs game time and consistent minutes which he wouldn’t have got with us. He needed to be the main man and we allowed him the chance to do that and he failed. Taking JP all day long over Jackson.
