Today, I am encouraged by the growing number of archivists who are exploring new ways of interrogating archives, searching for meaning and value, deliberating about justice, and focusing on the human relational attributes of archival work.
Over three decades ago, my first supervisor, John Grabowski, framed this as “coming home to the why of our profession from a sometimes obsessive sojourn with the how?”
