Deeply concerned about the five young trekkers from Bankura: Rintu Mondal, Uday Ghosh, Ratan Ghosh, Tapas Bauri and Manoj Khawas, who have gone missing during the Kedartal trek in Uttarakhand following severe weather and heavy snowfall. The Government of West Bengal is in constant touch with the Uttarakhand Government and their State Disaster Response Force (SDRF). Through our Resident Commissioner’s Office in New Delhi and State Disaster Management channels, we are actively seeking regular updates on the extensive search and rescue operations currently underway to locate and rescue our boys. To ensure uninterrupted round-the-clock coordination, the Additional Director General of Police (Law & Order) and the Superintendent of Police, Bankura District, have been assigned the responsibility to closely liaise with the Uttarakhand SDRF, local district authorities and administrative heads on the ground. Our administration has reached out to the distressed families in Bankura to extend all possible logistical and emotional support during this trying time. We stand firmly with the families, and no effort is being spared to ensure the safe and swift return of our Youths. We pray for their safety and well-being.

জয় হরিবোল 🙏🚩 বনগাঁর ঠাকুরনগরের পুণ্যভূমি শ্রীধাম ঠাকুরবাড়িতে অল ইন্ডিয়া মতুয়া মহাসংঘের তত্ত্বাবধানে গোঁসাই পরিষদ পরিচালিত “আন্তর্জাতিক মতুয়া গোঁসাই সম্মেলনে” উপস্থিত ছিলাম। পূর্ণব্রহ্ম পূর্ণাবতার শ্রীশ্রী হরিচাঁদ ঠাকুর ও শ্রীশ্রী গুরুচাঁদ ঠাকুরের পুণ্যভূমিতে তাঁদের চরণে প্রণাম নিবেদন করে পরম শ্রদ্ধেয় বড়মা বীণাপাণি দেবীর প্রতি শ্রদ্ধার্ঘ্য অর্পণ করলাম। মতুয়া সমাজের সার্বিক উন্নয়নে আমরা প্রতিশ্রুতিবদ্ধ। সেই লক্ষ্যে বড়মা বীণাপাণি দেবীর নামে চাঁদপাড়া স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রের নামকরণ সহ স্বাস্থ্যকেন্দ্রের ১০০ শয্যায় উন্নীতকরণ, প্রধানমন্ত্রী জনঔষধি কেন্দ্র স্থাপন এবং শিশু চিকিৎসার বিশেষ ব্যবস্থা করা হবে। এছাড়া আগামী বাজেটে ঠাকুরনগরকে পৌরসভার স্বীকৃতি দেওয়ার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছি। মতুয়া সমাজের উন্নয়ন, স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবার প্রসার এবং ঠাকুরনগরের অগ্রগতি আমাদের অঙ্গীকার। আমি সকল মতুয়া গোঁসাই ও ভক্তবৃন্দের প্রতি জানাই আমার প্রণাম। জয় হরিচাঁদ 🙏 জয় গুরুচাঁদ 🙏

In a major breakthrough in our ongoing crackdown against narcotics syndicates, a vigilant team from the Special Task Force (STF), @WBPolice intercepted a vehicle on NH-12 near Madhughat, Kaliachak, Malda district, recovering approximately 2.688 kg of contraband Morphine and arresting four key operatives of an inter-state drug network. A specific case has been initiated to thoroughly dismantle the entire racket from its roots. ​I appreciate the Officers and Personnel of West Bengal Police and the STF for their swift, coordinated action and unwavering dedication to duty. Let me remind the drug smugglers, racketeers and syndicate operators, they will be dealt with iron fist, as our Government maintains an uncompromising Zero Tolerance Policy against drug peddling to safeguard the future of our Youth and strengthen our collective resolve under the #NashaMuktBharatAbhiyan.
