My annual Oranda no Sakura update (オランダの桜のアップデート): with the warmest February in the Netherlands (avg. 8.2 degree Celsius) since measurements started in 1901 we have the earliest cherry blossom on the Delft campus (9-11 March) since my measurements started in 2018!

Sorry, I missed last weeks award ceremony, as I was at @IEEEPVSC meeting abroad, but I am proud and honored to be awarded as 'Educator of the Year' at the @EEMCS_TUD faculty. Happy to see that my efforts in education incl. exploring innovations are appreciated by the students!
This happens when you have lived in Japan for several years, one starts to monitor the Sakura season. My observations of the last years suggest that the date of the cherry blossom @tudelft campus correlates with the averaged temperature in the month February...
June 1st the poster contest took place (30 groups) for the System Integration Project course (Sustainable Energy Technology MSc) part of the Energy Challenge! 4 groups were awarded prizes: best video, audience, 1st & 2nd poster. Great event! Rene & Laura thanks for organizing!
