Will never understand the stupidity of leaving the EU. 'Thick' refers to Brexit and not necessarily to the voters, who were lied to. Stand with Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Thread🧵 on the importance of balance in politics... For a long time I've been subtly pushing a message of the importance of balance in politics. How very far left or far right views will so often be met with a reaction and/or play into the hands of the opposition 1/

2/ Russian forces have made effectively zero net gains in 2026 at the cost of over 40,000 casualties per month since July and around 458 casualties for every square kilometer of territory that Russian forces lost.

Mass migration into Europe since 2015 has neither been economically or socially beneficial in fact quite the opposite. The continent has a bigger welfare bill and a larger group of people that dislike it and don’t want to integrate that is a fact.

Why should a 25-year-old deserve the freedom to work across Europe, but not a 55-year-old starting a business? Or a 70-year-old wanting to spend more time with family? Freedom of Movement isn't a youth benefit. It's a freedom for people of every age.

Russia is very likely to use the ceasefire and press tour in Oleshky for propaganda❗️ They will try to shift the blame for the humanitarian crisis onto Ukraine, whitewash their war crimes, and leverage NewsMax's presence to legitimize their narrative on the international stage. In today's interview, President Zelenskyy warned: "The Russians must demine the roads. Undoubtedly, Russia will do everything to demine the roads in such a way that these people move toward Russia and remain there. After all, they won't agree to just let the people go." Indeed, controlled demining is one way to force people onto Russian-held territory while painting themselves as saviors. Earlier this month, on October 7, the Security Service of Ukraine issued its own warning about planned Russian propaganda campaigns: "According to operational data, servicemen from one of the occupying units have been ordered to prepare a series of ‘compromising’ interviews with the residents of the occupied town. In these videos, local residents are required to accuse the Ukrainian Defense Forces of constant shelling and the blockade of the town; discredit the decisions of Ukraine’s military and political leadership; and express a positive attitude and gratitude towards the military of the aggressor state." Russia has a long history of using controlled press tours to craft propaganda in carefully staged settings. In reality, the disaster in Oleshky is the direct result of a Russian blockade. Russian forces have been using civilians as human shields for drone operator units stationed in the town that continue to bomb Kherson across the river. Several videos online show Ukrainian troops attempting to deliver humanitarian aid via drones, precisely because Russian forces have blocked access to Oleshky for months. I call on the international community, especially journalists and editors, to remain vigilant. Russia can and will try to exploit this situation for propaganda, just as they have repeatedly created and exploited humanitarian disasters in the past.

Yes. Free movement never meant an unconditional right to settle anywhere in Europe. Belgium, Austria, Denmark and at least 10 other EU countries require registration and evidence of employment or sufficient means. Britain could have adopted similar controls before Brexit. It chose not to. That's a failure of British government, not EU law.

Do you have any evidence that these theoretical powers are ever used by EU countries?

Here's what Russians would be doing alot more of from the moment Ukraine would take Musk's advice and surrender.
Well, that makes three unworthy ones. To this Russian massacre from the beginning of the war: Trump calls it genius. Steve calls it humanitarian. Musk calls them poor recruits. I hope there is enough universal and divine justice for these three.

This is demonstrably true. Previously, each Vatnik Soup thread received between 300k and 5M impressions. Now, we're lucky if we get 100k. Our annual views have dropped from 700M to 280M. Posts about Ukraine shared by accounts with millions of followers barely get any traction, whereas our more generic posts about AI, for example, can get millions of views. Ukraine is still one of the hottest topics on this platform, yet voices supporting the country are being throttled, just like Starlink/Starshield was.
Elon Musk has done to x what he did to starlink. That’s why pro Ukraine posts get almost no coverage

Today, another Russian smear campaign is trying to pretend that Ukraine, or Zelenskyy personally, rejected a good "peace deal" in Istanbul in 2022. The "peace plan" in question included strict limitations on the Ukrainian armed forces, rendering them harmless and defenseless. No alliances were allowed. It also included security guarantees, but with a funny kicker: Russia demanded that triggering these security guarantees required the unanimous agreement of all guarantor states, including Russia itself. In other words, Ukraine was supposed to disarm almost completely, after which Russia could attack again and just block Ukraine from receiving any military aid. Comfy, right? The "peace deal" proposed in Istanbul was, in fact, a "disarm and let Russia slaughter us" deal. The full details are public by now. Research it yourself and don't fall for the propaganda.

Are you aware of the "I Want To Live" project, @hochuzhit_com, which allows those "poor Russian conscripts" to surrender and save their lives? Perhaps use your voice to share it more widely and help to give them a choice besides fighting and dying in drone strikes.

Almost 6 million people have watched the interview with @ZelenskyyUa in just 3 days! A conversation I will never forget. He spoke in Ukrainian, we both had ear pieces in with human translators in a room next door, and we translated what he said into English afterwards.
What do you say to your family when you don’t know if you’ll ever see them again? In February 2022, he told his wife and children the war had begun. Then he left as Russian forces advanced towards Kyiv, unsure what the coming hours would bring. This is President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Before politics, he built a successful career in Ukrainian television as a writer, producer and performer, even portraying a president on screen. In 2019, he was elected President of Ukraine. Three years later, Russia launched its full-scale invasion. Sitting down with him was surreal and an enormous responsibility. It was a rare chance to hear his account of the first hours of the war and the decisions that followed. We discussed things like: How he found out Russia had invaded. Why he refused an offer to evacuate Kyiv. The 64km Russian military convoy advancing towards the capital. How Russian forces tried to capture a key airport. His account of discovering hundreds of bodies after Russian occupation. What he believes it will take to end the war. But I also wanted to understand how he’d been coping. One of my first questions was simply, “How are you doing?” His answer was: “It’s hard.” He spoke about meeting parents whose children had been killed. Some, he explained, simply ask him for a hug. And as he spoke, there were tears in his eyes. Whatever your views on the war or the decisions made by those involved, this is a rare opportunity to hear his account of events that have changed millions of lives. Because behind every map, every headline and every political decision, there are real people. Out now on all platforms ❤️👊🏾 (President Zelenskyy was recorded in Ukrainian and dubbed in English.)
