From A's PR: A's lost their 90th game last night and have now lost 90 or more games in 4 of last 5 seasons and lost 483 games over last 5 years, which is second most in MLB (Rockies, 512) and most by A's over a 5-yr span since 1961-65 in Kansas City when they had 487 losses.

Fisher choosing to bet on the lockout instead of the success of his own franchise. Classic.

Hearing that a number of members of the A's minor league staff were let go today. People in the organization seem reluctant to talk about it, but someone said it seems to have come from "the top" (wherever that is right now) and referred to it as a "purge."

What makes a bad owner? To paraphrase a famous line from Tolstoy: all good owners are alike; each bad owner is bad in its own way.
