Book: Human Security and Sustainable Development in East Africa | Jeremiah O taylorfrancis.com/books/oa-e…
Yesterday changed everything. It marked the beginning of a new phase of my life as God granted my father eternal rest. Yesterday, I started my current journey of living without a father after close to four decades of experiencing unparalleled fatherly love, care, comfort ...
...and protection. As I chart my path in this unfamiliar terrain, I'm comforted by the many kind gestures and messages of encouragement from family, friends and acquaintances from across the globe. Please feel appreciated.
Important thread. Check it out #HealthyAgeing

Yesterday was very tough for me. I couldn't talk to my dad even though I desired so much to do so. He attempted to talk to me, but only mumbles came out. He soon slipped into unconsciousness. So, I left him in the hands of God & doctors. Also, wrote this piece entitled 'Son'👇🏿

"...I'm 23 now
But will I live to see 24?
The way things is going
I don't know
Tell me why are we
So blind to see
That the ones we hurt
Are you and me..."

"...Listen to the song that we sing
It's up to you to make it beat
I guess I'll see you
When you see me..."

Quite thoughtful & kind of @HonAdenDuale. One can learn a thing or two about gratitude, humility & commitment from this thread. Congratulations are in order! Best wishes.
Thank you, My Boss, My Friend and My President. @WilliamsRuto
This afternoon I received the news of my nomination as the next Cabinet Secretary for Defence with much honour, joy and humility.
With the just announced first cabinet appointments, President @WilliamsRuto is signaling that he intends to leave a mark & a positive one at that re women involvement & participation in governance decision making in Kenya. A good start. Wishing him well. kbc.co.ke/president-ruto-app…
Was betting on @AbabuNamwamba for the CS Foreign and Diaspora Affairs position under @WilliamsRuto's administration. But @DrAlfredMutua is upto the task too especially having spent a significant portion of his life in the diaspora. Wishing him well. Congratulations are in order.
.@OteyoAkhwaba based on our conversation from a few years ago, I know that at some point you bought into the @NASA moon landing conspiracy theorists' arguments. Not sure if you still do, but I think you'll find this documentary interesting. Check it out youtu.be/DxW__ZtZApo
How much progress is being made on the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals? weforum.org/agenda/2022/09/u… via @wef
Looks like Shamba system has an advocate in the Presidency. Would be interesting to see how the system plays out under the Ruto administration. Past experience hasn't been promising in part due to greed and lack of political will...
In this clip, DP @rigathi lauds Gov. Prof. @AnyangNyongo's pragmatism. Fyi, in his poem entitled 'Daughter of the Lowland', the latter writes: I brew with the enemy & drink with my people. I guess the good ol' professor is a pragmatist through & through.
