I've seen a lot of bad takes from elected officials since Tuesday. Too many are trying to explain away the election results rather than confront the real problem staring back at them in the mirror.
Let's get something straight. Hamilton County is not a blue county. Neither are Hendricks, Boone, Madison, or Delaware.
Republicans didn't lose ground in these communities because of population growth or changing demographics.
We lost because of bad policy, divisive politics, and a failure to deliver REAL results that make people's lives better.
Did national politics play a role? Absolutely. The war, inflation, and tariffs have all contributed to rising costs at the gas pump, grocery store, and on utility bills. Voters are frustrated, and rightfully so.
But let's not pretend our own Statehouse hasn't contributed to that frustration.
Anyone who spent time knocking on doors and actually listening to voters heard it firsthand. People are tired of the divisiveness coming from some of our leaders. They're frustrated by the lack of meaningful action to make life more affordable. And they're tired of politicians picking fights with suburban communities and the very things that make them great, especially our schools.
We need to stop treating the suburbs like the enemy and start listening to the people who live there.
The answer isn't to double down on the same failed approach or blame voters for rejecting it. It's to recognize what isn't working and change course.
Less partisanship. More action. Less talk. More results. And for once, let's stop talking long enough to actually listen.
These counties aren't lost. They can absolutely be won back with strong leadership, common-sense policies, and a relentless focus on making life better and more affordable for Hoosiers.
Voters aren't asking for more political bullshit. Many aren’t wearing a red or blue jersey. They're asking us to do our jobs. It's time we started listening.
Congratulations to our client, @ProFreedomPAC, on all of their candidate victories across the country!

This is a very smart message by our client Congresswoman @Kat_Cammack on the election and what the Republicans that are left in Congress should be focusing on. floridianpress.com/2026/11/k…

Not even 24 hours after a brutal election night, Washington is already jockeying for new leadership positions.
But voters sent a message. We owe it to those who put their faith in us AND those who put us on notice, to listen. Really listen.
Before rushing into leadership elections, let’s get every race called, have some hard conversations, and do some serious soul-searching.
The road back isn’t about ‘28. It’s about the next decade. And it starts with putting the American people ahead of political ambition.
The next title can wait. Earning the people’s trust cannot. Let’s get this right.
Congratulations to our client, Matthew Boucher, on his election win for Kennebec County Register of Deeds in Maine!

Someone told me once that you don’t own the voters that voted for you; you rent them for a term. It’s your job to show them why they should re-up. The Republican Party as a whole didn’t do that. Americans no longer feel they are being put first. They are angry, and it showed. Now is the time to earn them back.

Thank you, North Central Florida! To everyone who supported this campaign, whether you voted, knocked on doors in the heat, or waved signs in the rain: you carried this campaign. Matt, Augusta, and I are so grateful for each and every one of you. You're the reason there's nowhere else we'd rather raise our family.
Americans everywhere are frustrated, and they have every right to be. I’ve been fighting for them every day and am honored to continue to do so in the next Congress. You sent me to Washington to deliver for you, and that's exactly what I'm going to do. Let’s get to work.

My annual Election Day reminder, as someone who’s fallen into this trap: a long line at a polling place is not automatically good news for your candidate.
Sometimes your political instincts are just you watching a lot of unidentified strangers stand in a long line and hoping they agree with you.

If the NHGOP outperforms the national trends today, there will be a lot of credit to go around. But @Ross_Berry , @JoeSweeneyNH , @Osborne4NH and all the Republicans that pushed the Tax Cap deserve an acknowledgement. Even if it doesn’t go our way there’s no doubt they helped the ticket.

Don’t view today as the last day of the 2026 election cycle, view it as the first day of the 2028 election cycle.

Being a political professional has been the majority of my life's work. I can feel and relate to this speech. I got to meet Mr. Carville in 2000 at the College Convention my company put on. I asked him about this speech and the moment. The emotion was real.
