Today, Shropshire Councillors are voting on whether to give themselves a pay rise worth more than £40k, just weeks after declaring a financial emergency. Here is what I had to say on behalf of @unisontheunion members and #Shropshire residents ⬇️ shropshirestar.com/news/poli…

Today, people across the UK remember Stephen Lawrence, who at just 18 was murdered in an unprovoked racist attack. Stephen Lawrence Day is an opportunity for people to come together and honour Stephen’s life and legacy & stand up against discrimination. stephenlawrenceday.org/

Today marks #SLD25 — a day of reflection of a young life stolen, and a call to action for justice, equality, and anti-racism. I was just a few weeks old when Stephen Lawrence was murdered in a racist attack in 25 years ago today.

One day, I truly hope we will see a world where no other parent has to endure the pain and suffering that Stephen’s did. Together, through collective action and unwavering commitment, we have the power to create that world.

Court of Appeal rules Ofsted inspector sacked for brushing water off child’s head was unfairly dismissed. In a unanimous judgment, the judges said it was “deeply regrettable” the “experienced inspector with an unblemished record on safeguarding issues” had been sacked unjustifiably. unsn.uk/4kQb1kX
