Fans at the @Norman_Open M25 Singles Finals presented by @EskridgeLexus_ were treated to an epic battle between the #4 seed @LuiMaxted and the #5 seed @tyzinktennis. Maxted of Great Britain, the fall 2024 @NCAATennis doubles champion while a senior at @TCUMensTennis, came back to beat Zink (Georgia, @CowboyTennis) 6-7(1), 7-5, 6-3 in three hours and nine minutes. This makes for the third M25 singles title for Liu, who has claimed six M25 doubles titles. @VisitNorman @NormanOKSports @okproseries @bcclark @TwoDogsSocial @dawnajjohnston

Interesting factoid about Alina's win in yesterday's Women's Singles Finals at the @norman_open presented by @EskridgeLexus_. The #5 seed's win over #2 seed @danaguzman03, 7-5, 6-4, was her fourth and biggest title, all of them coming in 2026. It is anticipated that she should move into the @WTA Top 500 when the points are added a week from today. Come out and enjoy the Women's Singles Finals of the @norman_open presented by @EskridgeLexus_. The Finals pit some familiar faces against one another. Two former @OU_WTennis teammates, #5 seed Alina Shcherbinina and #2 seed @danaguzman03, will play for the title after Shcherbinina defeated qualifier Salakthip Ounmuang (Oklahoma) of Thailand 6-2, 7-5, and Guzman beat Ashley Lahey (Pepperdine) 6-4, 7-6(4). You may recall Alina and Dana claimed Oklahoma's first @ITA All-American doubles title at the ITA All-American Championship with partner Dana Guzman in Cary, N.C. (Oct. 8, 2023). On their way to the finals, Shcherbinina and Guzman defeated three ranked opponents, including two top-20 opponents in No. 12 Mai Nirundorn and Guillermina Grant (Georgia) and No. 19 Mary Stoiana & Mia Kupres (Texas A&M). @ATPeruoficial @DecisivoTenisPe @ustamovalley @USTAOklahoma @dawnajjohnston @btowler
