The actual answer to this is that computer science and software engineering are completely different fields. The industry of computer science is.. science
hearing my gf read out the terms taught in her computer science course really shows why people coming straight out of university have no fucking clue how to work in the industry. why are 80% of the terms they use completely different to what we actually use?

This change ends ~ 4 years of service at LANL and is not without mixed feelings. I will always look back fondly on my time in northern New Mexico and am grateful for the experiences and connections made there

Brutal… stretch… of 60s??? Please be so serious right now. Please bro
Late Sept–mid Oct is SF's best weather, and tomorrow will finally deliver after a brutal stretch of 60s and fog. Much of the city will top 70°F, with Downtown & FiDi, Mission Bay, SOMA, and Bayview possibly hitting 80+. Sorry Outer Sunset & Richmond, you'll stay in the 60s.

A great loss. One of my favorite college memories is the joyful collective suffering of our close-knit physics cohort as we brute forced 30 hour E&M problem sets in the POA library at 3am, often while slightly drunk. I can still taste the world’s worst coffee. Great friends.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) has issued a 10-page memo signaling a retreat from its traditional role of giving grants to individual researchers to pursue their best ideas and to train the next generation of scientists. Instead, the memo makes clear, NSF will devote the bulk of its resources to addressing the research priorities of President Donald Trump and his administration, many of them technology focused. scim.ag/4ipE1kY

I need yall to remember what the Great Lakes are
There is a dangerous swim risk overnight through most of Tuesday. Waves will peak Tuesday morning at 7 to 10 feet at beaches north of Saugatuck and 3 to 7 feet southward. Waves expected to gradually subside late Tuesday.
