Quite happy with my "finished" layout of the platform. Very easy to use now from write and backtest single strategies to backtest a combined portfolio. Strategies are written in Python code in the platform and they can be deployed directly. I can track missed trades, follow up live performance, automate all the screening and order submission. I use Pushover for notifications to my phone so I can follow whats happening without being on the computer.

A picture says more than a thousand words 😅 Lot of pain yesterday. On the positive side - very good that I have reduced my risk/position size on my mean reversion strategies. This tough environment will probably not last forever 😀

Though numbers to compare againt now year over year. Trying to focus on the big picture 😀 I really feel that my portfolio is more robust now and is better suited for long term performance. It would be nice to start seeing evidence of that soon though 😂

This is a very simple price action strategy that I have taken from @GoshawkTrades if I remember correctly, thank you! Rules are simple: - High lower than previous High - Low lower than previous Low - Buy if price crosses over High - Exit after two bars Traded live since the marker of 22 october 2024.

Some progress this week. Have a lot of long exposure now so there's probably a rug pull coming 😂

Damnit $BE, I said plus 11%.
I could take one of those +11% today. Thanks in advance 👍

$BE must be the worst trading stock in history 🤣 +9%, -9%, +11%, -5%... 😵‍💫

No evidence yet that my portfolio changes are working 😂 (In this kind of environment I don't expect my systems to produce profits so I won't revise my changes yet.) Y-Y looks terrible. Second picture is for the whole systematic period. Feel like I have to zoom out to keep the spirit up today 😀

Calm week again. I don't know why, but the 5 day return from IBKR report doesn't seem to be correct. My numbers says I'm more or less flat for the week. Maybe some after hours move that I have missed...

I took some discretionary trades yesterday, $MU and $SNDK . After watching all of Kristjan Kullamägis streams at least twice I couldn't watch those breakouts and accept that my system was not going to participate in those tickers. This is either: - A problem because I can't accept my systems fully. - 6 years of studying is showing some progress in the regards that the feeling was correct - the breakouts were to good to pass on. It is probably the former of the two 🤣

I'm very happy about my progression recently. I have adjusted my set of strategies and lowered overall risk and exposure. It seems like a more robust approach now than a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully that change reflects the performance going forward :)

I have had the opinion, and have also made some comments, that mean reversion strategies probably work better on survivorship-bias-free universes. My logic behind this thinking was that stocks included in an index have more institutional buying coming in when they dip. Turns out I was wrong about that. Performance is actually worse on survivorship-bias-free data. First picture is with todays QQQ tickers and the second one is with survivorship-bias-free data.

The comparison is against historical constituents of Nasdaq 100, the stock that were included in the past but not now may still be performing well. You are referring to delisted stocks and that’s a different story. See Dans’ post above.
