Social media managers are responsible for how a brand shows up, communicates and builds a relationship with its audience. That includes strategy, content planning, creation, publishing, community management and analysing what’s working. That work has value, and it deserves fair pay.
Sales also depend on your offer, pricing, website, sales team and customer experience. A social media manager cannot guarantee that people will buy when they don’t control all of those things. Even a paid ads specialist cannot guarantee that ₦2m will become ₦4m every day.
Social media managers should be accountable for the outcomes within their role. Asking them to guarantee followers, engagement, leads and revenue before they deserve fair compensation is exactly the problem I’m talking about.

Better don’t listen to foolish people telling you events like moonshot are useless.
Even as a non tech person I know what I’ve gotten out of it.

some of you just complain for complaining sake. what do you mean by you don't know why moonshot was held on the mainland? please get away from here with your winter boot
My own hot take about moonshot is that you all complain too much.
No parking space - it’s an event do you want everyone else to come without car so only you can park?
I walked too much - it’s a big event with different stages, also a big venue what did you expect will happen?

And a lot of you feel like moonshot has no utility bc you think you’ll just run into some founder or investor that will change your life just bc you were in the same room
You’re still on “helper” mentality.
You look down at networking horizontally. But you want peak level executives to listen to you, bc you’re saying what exactly?
Dey go joor
