Ace Combat 8 is still very realistic, because Enso Order's big wigs AKA the ones who are responsible for the war happening in the first place, got away scot-free and didn't get their comeuppance.

You really have to feel for video games. Every other popular medium has had a banner year this decade and vidya has gotten nothing. 2024 was one of the best years for music this century, 2026 is maybe the best year for film since the 70s, gaming is being bled dry

Also, aesthetically 3 is such a product of its time. I don't think that aspect of it could be recreated for a remake without losing a lot of its charm in current AC's higher fidelity graphic style.

I really don't think a AC3:Electrosphere remake is needed. It's stupid easy to emulate, it looks real good even to this day, and plays completely fine. They could pack a port of it as a preorder bonus for 9 tho.

I kinda hope the Savian Mercs appearance in 8 was a bit of setup for the 9 mc being one. It could be PA's chance to reintroduce Electrosphere's branching paths (maybe by letting us chose our contracts) or Zero's ace styles.
