We’re proud to announce Makaylah Fenwick & Rainbow Man as one of our sponsored horse & riders for @Equimillion_ 2026! 🐎
At just 19, Makaylah is pursuing her dream of becoming a jockey while showjumping with her five OTTBs, including Rainbow, who she took on after his retirement in 2021.
Rainbow’s transition to showjumping wasn’t easy, but through patience and consistency, they built an incredible partnership, going on to win the 2025 @mmsnippets Queensland Off-The-Track Cup.
As Makaylah says, their journey is “proof that with patience and the right opportunity, thoroughbreds excel in second careers.”
We’re excited to support this inspiring partnership at Equimillion 2026! 🐎

We’re delighted to announce Rae-Louise Kelly and Group 1 winner Excellent Proposal as one of our sponsored horse and riders for @Equimillion_ 2026!
Rae-Louise is dedicated to producing Thoroughbreds and continuing their education well beyond the racetrack, with Excellent Proposal, aka Billy, a wonderful example of this commitment.
Born and raised @FernriggFarm and sold through their inaugural @mmsnippets yearling draft, Billy went on to win the Group 1 Hong Kong Classic Mile and earn more than $3M in prize money. In a true full-circle moment, he retired to Fernrigg and has found his second calling in the showjumping arena.
We’re incredibly proud to support Rae-Louise and Billy as they showcase the capability, versatility and incredible partnership Thoroughbreds can offer at every stage of life. 🐎

Having been recognised for six decades of service to the breeding sector with his induction to the Queensland Racing Hall of Fame, Basil Nolan is better placed than most to assess the current health of the industry and while he may no longer be the man to help shape its future, the Raheen Stud owner is adamant the resilience and advocacy of his peers will ensure its continued prosperity.
Through his long-term tenure on the committees of both the Thoroughbred Breeders Queensland Association (TBQA) and Thoroughbred Breeders Australia (TBA), Nolan has been a passionate and occasionally loud voice for the industry at state and national level; but after recently turning 81, he readily acknowledges that it is high time he passed on the proverbial baton and spent more time with his wife Diane and their 20 grandchildren.

A reminder for the 2026 foaling season: your Foal Ownership Declaration must be lodged within 30 days of foaling.
Your stud, farm manager or agent may assist with paperwork, but responsibility remains with the managing breeder/owner. Don’t assume it’s been done — confirm that the FOD has been correctly submitted before the deadline.
✅ Record the foaling date
✅ Put the 30-day deadline in your calendar
✅ Confirm the FOD has been lodged
Foal born? Check your Foal Ownership Declaration.
