Congrats to the scientists, doctors and families who helped secure $20M from the Fed Gov't for childhood brain cancer research. @Mark_Butler_MP said research was a key weapon in battling #braincancer and $KZIA is proud to be a part of this fight. shorturl.at/exBTY

DIPG is a type of malignant brain tumour, and one of the most aggressive of all childhood cancers. There’s no known cure or treatment options. Angie’s daughter Eve was diagnosed in March 2021 and given 12 months to live.

As promised, this year for #childhoodcancerawareness day, we are bringing you the numbers that will help us think, reflect and understand a little more. Here's Day 1: In AUS & NZ approximately 1180 children and adolescents are diagnosed with cancer each year 😔 #CancerResearch

Paediatric oncology has come a long way with more than 8 in 10 'surviving' beyond 5 years. That can be only the start of the battle. Unfortunately not the case for #DIPG a virtually ZERO % survival and prognosis unchanged for decades #CCAM #ResearchMatters

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The outcomes for paediatric brain cancer, and DIPG specifically, remain devastating. These statistics, helpfully shared by the DIPG DMG Collaborative show the incidence of cancer, and brain cancer, in children in Australia.

Tilly passed away yesterday morning from #DIPG at 7:30 AM after a two year battle with cancer. We pray for her family that is broken-hearted and at a painful loss they have never experienced in their life. We pray for her friends. We pray for all the medical staff that did their very best to take care of her and save her life. Please light a candle today in remembrance of Tilly. In Jesus name, Amen ✝️🙏❤️🙏✝️
