AMITYVILLE TRICK OR TREAT? For Halloween 2026, visitors and passersby noted that the owners of the famous Amityville Horror house (located on Ocean Avenue in Amityville, New York) added replica shutters or coverings resembling the iconic, eerie quarter-round "eye" windows over their current windows.
The original quarter-round attic windows were remodeled and removed years ago to deter sightseers and protect the privacy of the home's residents, making their temporary or replica appearance for the Halloween season a notable sight for locals and fans of the lore.

Released on November 3, 1976, Brian De Palmaβs adaptation of Stephen Kingβs novel gave horror one of its most haunting characters. Sissy Spacekβs performance captures a lonely girl desperate for kindness, pushed toward tragedy by cruelty at school and religious fanaticism at home.

The man who showed up in more films than most people have seen. Horror got him in Hatchet, Rob Zombieβs Halloween II, and Texas Chainsaw 3D. He never stole the room. He just made the room feel like it already had a body in it. That is the job. He did it four hundred times and still looked like he belonged in the next one.
