When we finally got Dustin and Yolanda’s treatment records, we were able to compare what their treatment providers billed for and what they remember receiving. In total, treatment providers billed their insurance $440,000.
We tried to get answers from the main provider they visited - Integrity Recovery Center. After months of no callbacks, I traveled to LA this summer to visit their facility.

i don't think people realize just how revolutionary retatrutide is
so far, clinical trials have shown:
- up to 25–28% bodyweight loss in 80 weeks, basically - approaching bariatric surgery results without the surgery
- reduction of knee arthritis pain by ~70% in some patients
- sleep apnea going into remission or becoming mild in up to half of patients
- up to 93% of prediabetics returning to normal blood sugar levels
- lowers blood pressure
- lowers triglycerides by up to 41%
-lowers non-HDL cholesterol by ~16–20%
- reduces inflammatory markers by over 50%
- reduces liver fat by up to 86%, with up to 93% of patients in some groups returning to normal liver fat levels
plus all the benefits that come from simply losing weight
and now they're testing its effects on chronic back pain, cardiovascular disease, kidney outcomes and more
there's now a single drug that can make people lose a quarter of their bodyweight while improving or potentially reversing many of the most common chronic conditions that plague hundreds of millions of people. insane
and it's still in clinical trials, imagine what decades of improved metabolic health could mean for human health and longevity
literally a miracle drug

An experimental weight-loss drug slashed breathing interruptions during sleep so dramatically that one in four non-diabetic patients saw their sleep apnea completely disappear.
Retatrutide, an investigational GLP-1 by Eli Lilly, improved more than 50% of obstructive sleep apnea symptoms in 68% of participants over 80 weeks, according to a new study published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
Researchers say the results could reduce reliance on CPAP machines, which remain the frontline treatment for the condition that affects over 50 million Americans — 80% of whom are undiagnosed.

I used to review officer-involved shooting reports generated by a D.A. explaining the decision to exonerate officers, and recall often thinking “I mean, could that *really* be how it went down?” I suspected there may be some fog of war or selective memory or post-hoc justification to give the officer a rational justification and paint the victim in a negative, irrational light.
But with the post-2020 adoption of body cams, I now believe it all. There is no behavior too insane for a huge number of suspects when confronted with literally any command by an officer requesting some form of compliance.
Even I thought body cams would shine a light on some substantial percentage of clear officer abuse, but it’s clearly negligible, while dangerous and erratic behavior by suspects is widespread. It is impossible to overstate how wrong BLM and reform activists were on this count.

BREAKING: Neuroscientists confirm that an under-stimulated ADHD brain will unconsciously pick an argument or poke a sibling just to manufacture a hit of adrenaline—which is why your house erupts into chaos the exact second everyone is bored.
When the external environment goes quiet and flat, an ADHD nervous system scrambles to fill the gap:1/6

Today I issued an Executive Order designating “Seminole Wind” by John Anderson as the official anthem of Florida.
I have also directed the @FLSecofState to erect historic markers in the City of Apopka depicting John Anderson’s contribution to Florida’s heritage.
In addition, I have tasked @FLDEPNews to work with the @SJRWMD to designate wildlife drive and trail system within Lake Apopka North Shore as the John Anderson Wildlife Drive and Trail System.
For an Iranian to boost this tells me there’s some serious social engineering going on, on a massive scale.
BREAKING: Japan to urge all citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of food and water in preparation for major disasters and events, with an official emergency request set for November 2.
"At least three days, and I'd like to say a week if possible… please prepare food, toilets, and water properly at home even without public assistance," Japan's Disaster Management says.
It comes just 2 days after the Pentagon started to prepare every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war.
The UK launched the "Be Ready" program 5 days ago, also advising all citizens to keep 3 days of key supplies, including bottled water, non-perishable food, and a battery or wind-up FM radio.

Japan's call for citizens to stockpile at least 3 days of supplies is longstanding official advice for natural disasters like earthquakes and is tied to the scheduled November 2 launch of its new National Disaster Management Agency.

A black man, the director of the soccer league, called the cops on this kid’s mom for harassing him. His parents then turned around and exploited their child to push a victimhood narrative. Ridiculous.

I suspect that many people who are still obese and resisting GLP1s have this fear because “it can’t be that easy” how can something that costs less than $50-100 a month change your life. It’s hard to believe in miracles when you have struggled with your own body for so long.

You know what wrecked me when I was newly Christian?
Genesis 22. For years as a Muslim, I was told the story was about Ishmael.
Then I actually read it. I think the bigger topic isn't Isaac or Ishmael.
It's this: Why would God ask Abraham to sacrifice his son in the first place? What kind of God does that?
The answer hit me like a freight train, because it shattered my Muslim worldview. God wasn't being cruel, He was painting a picture.
Abraham never goes through with sacrificaing Isaac. God stops him, then God provides a ram in his place. That action is not just a test or an isolated story: That's prophetic. It's a blueprint.
The blueprint goes: A father. A son. A sacrifice. A substitute.
You see where I am going with this.
Genesis 22 is actually the heartbeat of the Gospel. God was foreshadowing the day when He Himself would provide the sacrifice. Not for one man. Not only for one family.
But for the whole world. Of course, salvation wasn't earned by Abraham's performance. It came through God's provision.
You can recieve this substitute and gift. Here's what made me stop and think: The Quran retells the story of Genesis 22, but removes the name of the son. Why?
Because once you start following the thread through Genesis, the prophets, and the covenant promises, you eventually have to wrestle with the Lamb that comes later.
You have to wrestle with Jesus. The perfect sacrifice that every previous sacrifice pointed toward.
And that's when I realized: The story was never ultimately about Abraham. It was always about what God was going to do for us.
And there's nothing we can do to earn His approval! We can only receive the sacrifice He already provided.

You mean, they should have scored and give the packers the ball back with 1 minute left? When they could just sit down there and burn up the rest of the clock to make sure Jordan love never got his hands on the ball again?
Wow. People are so dumb.
Really? The transatlantic slave trade is the absolute worst crime in all of human history?
What about the Arab slave trade that lasted 4 times longer, had a 20-50% death rate, and forcefully castrated all males? Where the female:male ratio was 3:1 since it was almost exclusively females being forced into sex slavery?
Did they consider Mao Zedong's forced famines that killed 30 million people? What about the mongol conquests that killed 40 million people, or the holocaust that killed 3x more people than the transatlantic slave trade ever did?
The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution on Wednesday declaring the transatlantic slave trade as the gravest crime against humanity.

Reading Dracula has solidified the conviction that my children will never see Twilight while I can help it. It’s not the idea of vampires themselves that is so morally abhorrent, it’s their being portrayed as good. Vampire stories should stir hatred for beings that so sacrilegiously abuse the life blood, not humanize them.

I do sincerely believe that too.
I believe the US, with all its faults, is the glue that's kinda keeping the civilization together. Without it, you have intense factional warfare and constant global upheaval. No checks or balances. No accountability, even if selective.
Even in a jungle it's important to have a king.
Notice how the current upheaval in the MidEast coincides with the reduction in U.S. influence in the region. When U.S. influence recedes, that's what usually follows. I suspect we will find the same case in Europe.
