What a fantastic evening in Gqeberha, celebrating 250 years of the United States - Freedom250! From business leaders to entrepreneurs to exchange program alumni and local officials, it was a pleasure to catch up with all and discuss opportunities for U.S. investment and partnership throughout the Eastern Cape. As I shared with our guests, South Africa has the potential to be not just an African economic powerhouse but a global economic powerhouse. The U.S. can contribute to that growth if the South African government resolves barriers to doing business and gives U.S companies the environment to expand.
