Chinese and Korean developers have been cooking this generation. Very cool to see so many amazing single player games from a region that was mostly untapped before.

One of Jack's animations is a great detail to subtly remind you how the Bakers have been living for 3 years. Sometimes, he'll aggressively scratch his whole body, clearly itchy. With the ruined family bathtub, his irritated skin shows Jack hasn't bathed in 3 years... #REBHFun

These two games were cancelled by EA, BTW. Dead Space 4 would have featured the Necromorphs devastating Earth after their invasion, while Mass Effect: Universe would have featured a cold war following the Reaper War. Both were cancelled in favor of Battlefield and sports games.

We used to beat video games. Now some games expect us to check in every day like they're our second job. Battle passes. Daily challenges—limited-time rewards. I miss buying a game, finishing it, and feeling like I actually accomplished something.
