I believe in the goodness of the people of Los Angeles.
This moment represents an opportunity for our city to make a real, positive change and I want to lead that change.

Rep. Bass insulted @AvanceDemClub and the Latino community - which makes up over 50% of the city of LA. Real leaders don't demonize entire communities just because they didn't earn their support. Let's put the politics of division behind us once and for all.

As a Democratic candidate for mayor of Los Angeles, it means a lot to me to win the support of @AvanceDemClub, the largest Latino Democratic organization in LA County, and the 3,600 union firefighters and paramedics of @UFLAC, IAFF Local 112.

Tonight, my opponent insulted the largest Latino Democratic club in Los Angeles County because their members voted to endorse me, not her. I'm proud to have the support of @AvanceDemClub

Watch this. It shows why we should all do the right thing and stay home to the fullest extent possible. All of us can help slow the spread of the virus, protecting the elderly, the vulnerable, and each other. washingtonpost.com/graphics/…

Tonight I'm going to a Democratic club meeting --> @AvanceDemClub.
Avance's mission is to build Latino political power, increase Latino voter registration and civic participation, cultivate and develop Latino political leaders.
Can't wait.
Avancistas, we are in the Plaza de la Raza Gallery listening to @LoyolaMarymount #StudyLA researcher Max D. about the definition of political power
All this to say that even when important elections are on the ballot, we still witness certain majority Latina/o, low-income, lower ed precincts continuously disengaged
#GOTV solutions include same-day registration, pre-voter registration for 16/17 yr olds, universal vote-by-mail ballots, universal walk-in vote centers...and holding a VOTERÍA!
