For well over a year, I have tracked and reported on the role of the UAE in prolonging devastating war in Sudan by means of a cynical, exploitative backing of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF). Despite overwhelming evidence, from a wide range of research and reporting quarters, the UA totally, obdurately refuses to accept any of this evidence. Central in this denial has been Lana Nusseibeh, a senior official of the UAE regime and close to UAE strongman Mohamed bin Zayed. Nusseibeh goes so far as to deny the evidence provided by a UN investigation, even as the UN is the organization she professes to wish to lead:

A year ago, El-Fasher, the historic capital of Darfur, was taken by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).
The city was the scene of mass crimes against civilian populations, targeted on an ethnic basis.
On this painful day, our heart is with the people of Sudan. France bows to the memory of the victims.
Our compassion is accompanied by a constant determination to act to break the cycle of impunity in Sudan.

بعون الله وتوفيقه ، قامت القوات الجوية نهار اليوم بتنفيذ ضربات مركزة على مراكز قيادة لمليشيا آل دقلو وتمركزات مرتزقتها بمدينة نيالا ، وأسفرت الهجمات عن قتل العشرات منهم وتدمير مراكز القيادة .
ستظل القوات المسلحة تتابع تجمعات المرتزقة ومراكز قيادة المليشيا حتى القضاء عليها .
