New Mexico is six wins away from potentially playing in a 12-team college football playoff. Really just need a Boise St loss somewhere.
What's interesting is Deion's Jackson St teams would beat this year's Colorado team. Those teams had four players make the NFL.
Raise your hand if you care more about North Dakota St/New Mexico than Houston/Utah in the night cap? Raises ✋️!
Isn't this a conflict of interest considering Disney owns the rights to the CFP?
Congrats to @UCF_Football on the highest ranked win in program history 🏈
I think the issue is a program like Tennessee shouldn't have went into the season with a true freshman and true sophomore at QB with zero career starts.
Third career start, wasn’t perfect, still needs to see it better. Couple plays he obviously wants back. But I saw growth. I saw a guy make some plays and keep fighting in a tough environment.
Lot of bad QB takes on this app imo. I know ppl hate the word development, but it’s still the most important thing for college athletes and just bc you’re getting paid doesn’t change a single thing about the process.
Also, include being down 14-0 right off the bus. So much to blame and lots to dissect. Win next four games and we're in the CFP.
-12 penalties for 90 yards
-Two of them procedural penalties that bring back touchdowns
-Miscommunication on 4th down play out of a timeout
-Jesse Perry with no help blocking Dylan Stewart in obvious passing situation
Woof, woof, woof

End of the day if Tennessee beats Kentucky, Texas A&M, LSU and Vanderbilt they make the CFP. If they can't win those types of games, they don't deserve a playoff opportunity and are not a championship caliber team to begin with.
Love how Josh Heupel utilizes TE DaSaahn Brame as a fullback in certain situations. Reminds me of how we used Princeton Fant in 2002.
Interesting that Cincinnati came out better in the QB transfer portal getting J.C. French instead of keeping Brendan Sorsby, who never played for Texas Tech.
Yeah, this is the start for the Vols that most everyone expected. Typical. There's a reason why South Carolina was the favorite. We'll see what kind of resolve we have.
We should actually normalize keeping older vintage stadiums. We tore down the Orange Bowl. NASCAR just put $ back into North Wilkesboro. 90% of fans at these soccer games stand during games anyway. I'd rather see a game at this venue than any luxury stadium with modern amenities.
The Dave Doeren era has to be over at NC State after losing to Stanford. Don't know where they go now. Throwing out a longshot and maybe they look at Philip Rivers?
Stayed at that Red Roof Inn in South Bend for the Tennessee/Notre Dame game in 2005...Think it was like $99, but was verrry interesting to say the least. Guy at the front desk looked like he had to be a mafia henchman.
The George Michael Sports Machine needs acclaim too. Many people didn't or couldn't afford to have cable in the 80s and early 90s and his syndicated Sunday night sports highlight show on NBC affiliates was one of the only ways to get national weekly sports highlights on OTA TV.
There was a lot of praise for Pardon The Interruption yesterday and rightly so. It's one of the most influential sports studio shows of the 21st century. I cannot emphaisze enough how much they benefitted from being in D.C. as opposed to Bristol where Erik Rydholm and his team were able to cook away from the Death Star.
Sure, it's led to a lot of terrible imitators but they also helped so many writers get paid via those imitations. (Shout to the OG of this -- The Sportswriters on TV out of Chicago.)
But Inside The NBA, in my opinion, is far and away the greatest and most impactful sports studio show of my lifetime.
If you want to head back further, I'd also put The NFL Today in that category given how revolutionary it was when it started in the 1970s.
This was because schools were members of the CFA, which dissolved in 1997. Conferences in the mid-90s decided to take over TV rights from the CFA, which was a consortium of Independents and Conferences that shared TV rights starting in 1977. Indy's would need a similar system.
