I’ve said it before, just a few times, MAKE BRITAIN SECURE:
Spend on defence, build resilience, cut energy costs, modernise regulation, deal with the debt.
What will it take for our leaders to focus on what matters?

Why are TVs getting cheaper, but energy is getting more expensive? Here's a hint: the government might just have something to do with it.

IOPHR condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the latest wave of executions carried out by the Islamic Republic of Iran, including the execution of two young men in Isfahan and the deeply alarming reports that several more executions are imminent.
Among the latest victims of the Islamic Republic’s execution machinery are young people whose cases have become emblematic of the repression of a new generation of Iranians. These include Amir Hossein Safari and Abolfazl Sepahi, publicly executed by hanging this morning (28th July 2026) for the so‑called ‘crime’ of protesting.

Margaret Thatcher has always been an inspiration to me. Today, leaders like @KemiBadenoch , Wendy Morton, @Baronessjenkin and many more continue to inspire and encourage more women to step into politics and public service.
Congratulations to all the elected officers of the Conservative Women’s Organisation.
A special thank you to the Chairman Sherrel and to both the outgoing and incoming officers for your dedication and hard work in supporting women in politics. Wishing you every success for the year ahead.

What happened in Golders Green is not an isolated incident — it is the direct result of years of political and institutional weakness.
When will we see real action instead of repeated condemnation?
Extremists are not stronger they are emboldened by a government that has failed, time and again, to confront them and continues with a policy of appeasement.
The Iranian regime has long been a driver of global antisemitism and terror, yet the UK still refuses to proscribe the IRGC.
This failure sends a dangerous message: violence, intimidation, and hate will be tolerated.
Today it is the Jewish community. If this is not stopped, tomorrow it will be everyone else.

Today, on World Cancer Day, Neuroendocrine Cancer UK launches a new report:
The Invisible Cancer – how delays, misdiagnosis, and unequal treatment of neuroendocrine cancer in the UK are costing lives.
The report highlights the impact of delayed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, and variation in access to specialist care, and calls for greater recognition of neuroendocrine cancer to support earlier diagnosis and improved outcomes.

Iran’s antisemitic regime is slaughtering its own people – and the West is silent
The UK must move from statements to strategy. That means proscribing the IRGC, expanding targeted sanctions, closing legal and financial safe havens, and supporting international accountability mechanisms for crimes against humanity

We don’t ask nightclubs to serve orange squash to kids so they can have something to drink. We say no kids in nightclubs.
Social media is exactly the same.
Social media is not a safe for children. Extreme content is rife, and the safeguards the companies have put in place are complex and woefully ineffective.
It’s time to make sure children are protected from adult spaces. The Government should focus on what matters, not banning companies they don’t like.

Today marks two years since the barbaric and savage attack of October 7th.
In January 2024, my husband @Vahid_Beheshti and I visited the very site of the October 7th massacre in Israel an experience that will stay with me forever. Standing where so many innocent lives were taken, I was reminded that this was not just an act of terror, but part of a systematic campaign orchestrated and funded by the Iranian regime under Ali Khamenei the same regime that created and sustains groups like Hamas and Hezbollah, fuelling hatred and antisemitism across the region.
Today, we remember those who lost their lives, we stand with the survivors, and we call for the immediate release of all remaining hostages.
We must stand united with the victims, confront those who enable terror, and hold the Iranian regime accountable for its role in funding and exporting terrorism and
extremism.

The Government has identified the Iranian regime as a direct threat to Britain’s national security that must be treated as a priority. This is the right decision, following the report of Parliament’s Intelligence and Security Committee and the crucial landmark poll commissioned by the Iranian Front for the Revival of Law and National Sovereignty, conducted a few days ago by JL Partners. That poll showed that 72% of Labour voters believe the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) should be designated as a terrorist organisation, while more than 67% want Britain to cut ties with the Iranian regime altogether.
The next step, especially with @YvetteCooperMP now serving as Foreign Secretary, must be the formal designation of the IRGC as a terrorist organisation. My husband, @Vahid_Beheshti , has been holding a sit-in protest outside the Foreign Office for 927 days, demanding precisely this.
Proscribing the #IRGC is not only necessary, it is an urgent measure to safeguard the national security of this country.

In light of the current circumstances, Lord Polak addressed Lord Collins at the House of Lords, and asked him whether he will apologise to the people of Iran and to @Vahid_Beheshti who has camped outside of the Foreign Office for over two years, for the Government’s continued failure to proscribe the #IRGC?
“HMG have been on the wrong side since they took Office”
It is absolutely right to ask: which side is this Government on?
Is it on the side of the freedom loving, democratic nation of #Israel and the people of #Iran, who have suffered for decades under tyranny?
Or is it on the side of the Ayatollahs, who murder their own civilians, who have executed, on average, two people every six hours for the past 47 years, who founds and supports terror groups like Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis?

Total betrayal of voters in Sherbourne & Westwood. They voted for Conservative representation not the Farage personality cult. Both councillors should resign their seat & stand under their new banner. If you believe in democracy give people a say over who they're represented by.

These past two years without my husband by my side have been incredibly challenging, but my support for him has never wavered. I am immensely proud of him—not only as my husband but as a courageous human being who fearlessly uses his voice to stand up for justice. His brave efforts, including calling on the UK Government to designate the IRGC as a terrorist organisation, remind us that none of us are truly safe when such threats roam free in our midst.
Today marks the second anniversary—732 days since 23rd February 2023—when Vahid made the courageous decision to begin a hunger strike outside the FCDO building. His actions were driven by the urgent need to confront the global threat posed by the IRGC—a threat that, for 46 years, has held the Iranian people hostage under an oppressive regime. Now, they are on UK soil, threatening journalists and activists who speak out against their gross human rights violations.
Vahid’s 72-day hunger strike led to him being hospitalised for two weeks, and he now remains at the sitting camp, steadfast in his commitment to justice. The Iranian regime has long exploited its people’s sacrifices, diverting funds to support violent proxies such as Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis, while even funding mosques that fuel radicalisation against Western civilisation. The tragic attack of 7th October serve as a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of allowing the Islamic Republic of Iran to operate unchecked—they are the founders and funders of Hamas. Furthermore, the Iranian regime has supplied drones to Russia, enabling attacks against the Ukrainian people.
Yet, despite the dangers at home and abroad, the FCDO continues its policy of appeasement. I stand with Vahid and all those who dare to challenge oppression, and I call on the UK Government to recognise the IRGC for what they truly are—a terrorist organisation.
Thank you to everyone who has stood by our side every step of the way, united by the same cause for freedom.

I met with Carmen Lau, a former elected Hong Kong District Councillor, in Parliament to discuss her work with the Hong Kong Democracy Council and the Hong Kong March.
Parliament must continue the work of the previous Government, calling out political prosecution and transnational repression as well as continuing to hold China to its international obligations.
