James Gunn on casting DCU Batman:
"What excites me is the fact that we'd be picking the best actor for that role. Superman's have always been chosen based on who the best actor for that role is. And for some reason, Batman's have always been chosen as movie stars."

If there was a constant face in my geek generation, it was Sir #PatrickStewart’s.
Today, we mourn the LEGEND, who passed away at age 86.
But his contribution to the arts goes way beyond my generation. A rich 60 year long career, which leaves as legacy much more than our beloved #ProfessorCharlesXavier & #CaptainJeanLucPicard.
He’s gonna be dearly missed!
My sincere condolences to his loved ones and to everyone who loved him and is feeling this loss.

Sir Patrick Stewart has passed away.
When Sir Patrick Stewart was cast as Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation, he was so convinced the series would fail and get canceled that he lived out of his luggage and refused to unpack his suitcases for the first six weeks of filming.
Stewart had spent decades with the Royal Shakespeare Company and took the role largely because his agent assured him American syndicated sci-fi television rarely lasted: "Sign the contract, come over, make some money for the first time in your life, get a tan, and go home."
Even series creator Gene Roddenberry initially hated the casting, insisting Picard could not be bald.
Stewart auditioned wearing a custom toupee flown in from London, but the producers eventually convinced Roddenberry that Stewart was vastly more commanding without the hairpiece. Stewart ended up helming the franchise for seven seasons, four feature films, and three seasons of Star Trek: Picard.

Bob Ross is actually a perfect example to show why art lovers are unimpressed by AI art. Bob Ross is not famous for his paintings. He is famous for his videos in which he showed *how* he made his paintings. The process matters!
