BEM has a different contract on each chain BNB Chain 0x5ce033b2bfca3af30b3e8c8457deaf776a8b695a X Layer 0x60e62efa9405d6873c5deabd4e6cc91c25363952

A counts elements and puts a price on memory A = g + λ × s, λ = 6 What it answers How heavy this Circuit is Including everything it references g is the Recursive Element Count Elements inside a Black Box are counted too s is the Recursive LATCH Count Also counted all the way down λ = 6 Each LATCH that stores a Bit adds 6 here Example for illustration only g = 30 and s = 3 A = 30 + 6 × 3 = 48 What it does not mean Not what you Burned this time That is b* No depth inside Depth lives in C Not a physical chip size either

Proof of Design has three roles The Builder proves Real Transistors get Burned Tape Out cannot be undone

Order matters Make a Design Commitment before Tape Out Seeing your Design does not let someone take your slot

Good Design welcomes a second look Official Vectors run it Anyone can bring a Counterexample One wrong Bit and it does not count Work that survives the check Is the Work BEM recognizes

Prove the Design Not by shouting b* records the Burn C measures size and depth q measures you against the Reference

b* is just two counts added up b* = n + λburn × m, λburn = 1 What it answers How many Transistors you actually Burned in this layer n is NAND Burned in the current layer m is LATCH Burned in the current layer λburn is the weight on LATCH It is 1 So one LATCH counts the same as one NAND here Example for illustration only A Tape Out Burns 18 NAND and 2 LATCH in this layer b* = 18 + 1 × 2 = 20 What it does not mean Not how big your Circuit is That is A Not how good your Design is That is q Transistors still in your wallet count for nothing

Four steps between a Circuit and BEM Ordinary mining asks how fast a machine can guess BEM asks how good your Circuit is A Circuit has to walk this chain Design Draw it Try it in Canvas Tape Out and Burn the Transistors Verification The Contract runs it with Official Vectors Output is checked Bit by Bit Measurable Work Burn, size and depth turn into numbers by formula Proof of Design Mining Those numbers become Hashrate And share in BEM Emission Miss one step And nothing is mined

Treat the six steps like walking into an exam Step 1 Connect Wallet Like checking in It only reads your address No automatic transaction No automatic Mining Step 2 Read your Circuits See which ones you can use Step 3 Arm Get the Circuit ready Step 4 Start Mining With Live Check on Step 5 Mine BEM Stopping has a 1,200 block Cooldown About 9 minutes Step 6 Claim What you mined waits for you to claim it Before every signature Check the Chain ID is 56

Owning productive resources does not automatically mean earning guaranteed rewards Asset ownership, productive capacity, and economic returns are three different concepts In the PoD ecosystem, owning Transistors or Circuits gives participants access to resources that can be used to construct Processors But holding these resources alone does not determine how efficiently they can be organized into productive capacity, or how that capacity performs under the PoD mechanism Even when productive capacity is established, actual rewards still depend on competition, applicable reward rules, and production costs TapeOut's latest milestone addresses a more fundamental layer of this economic structure By permanently sealing administrative control over the relevant Transistor and Circuit contracts of existing Processor projects, the protocol reduces the risk of unilateral changes to assets participants already own This strengthens the certainty of ownership within the scope of the sealed permissions, without promising any particular economic return For BEM, the distinction matters Ownership defines the resources participants control Design and production determine how those resources can be used The economic mechanism determines how productive activity may translate into rewards Clear ownership is the foundation of a production economy, not a guarantee of its returns

Not every tradable On Chain asset is a productive asset Tradability allows ownership to change hands Productive capacity requires resources that can serve a defined role in a production process
2
199
TapeOut's permanent revocation of administrative permissions over existing Processor projects reduces this specific uncertainty It does not remove market risk or guarantee returns It removes a category of control that participants previously had to trust Admin risk is economic risk
4
168
Mining economics is often discussed in terms of rewards, costs, and competition But administrative authority is another form of risk When productive assets can be modified unilaterally, participants must account for decisions outside their control
138
For the PoD ecosystem, Transistors and Circuits are more than On Chain assets They are resources used to build productive capacity The long term value of productive assets depends in part on predictable rules
7
272
For the PoD ecosystem, Transistors and Circuits are not only On Chain assets They are also important resources for building productive capacity The long term value of productive assets depends on certainty in the rules When the key properties of an asset can still be changed unilaterally by an administrator, participants must take on additional permission risk TapeOut has permanently sealed the management rights for all Transistor and Circuit contracts related to created Processor projects This means that within the scope of sealed permissions, these production resources no longer depend on the founding team continuing to promise that they will not make changes For the BEM ecosystem, this is also an important step in understanding the On Chain production economy Production capacity can compete and resource value can be explored by the market But the fundamental rules of assets should have verifiable certainty

A new app does not automatically mean demand for BEM It needs real users, real resources tied to BEM, and usage you can verify on chain Progress is not demand Real activity is

Pooling does not automatically produce higher returns Operating fees, management permissions, reward distribution rules, and actual efficiency all matter The real opportunity is to explore how participants can coordinate production while maintaining clearly defined economic rights The value of collective participation must be demonstrated through transparent rules and measurable results
4
222
If individuals can already own and trade productive resources, why do mining pools matter? Because resource ownership and production efficiency are different problems An individual may own productive assets without having the scale, optimization capabilities, or time required to manage them efficiently Coordination can potentially reduce certain costs and allow participants to share resources and operational responsibilities
3
202
Understanding PoD mining therefore requires more than looking at reward amounts We also need to examine resource efficiency, input costs, and the competitive environment Higher output does not necessarily mean higher profit The more meaningful comparison is how much net economic value different production strategies create under comparable conditions
