What genuinely worries me is the conservative style we’ve adopted since Rodri came in. There have been several situations where Raphinha and Yamal were ready to make runs in behind, only for Rodri and the others to slow things down, recycle possession or play sideways and diagonal passes instead of releasing our usual quick, incisive through balls. We’re prioritising control at the expense of the directness and urgency that made our attack so dangerous.
