Atherton train station no longer is a stop so they converted it into a “museum”. visiting today I learned this tidbit - people used to dress up for the special nine hour train ride from SF to LA. Maybe some marketing and special trains could bring back better than HSR illusion.
This is exactly why I changed my mind about buying in NY. I have seen how bad NYC can be under a bad mayor and how great it can be under competent ones.

New Yorkers don’t need staged photo ops while their subways become increasingly dangerous. They need a mayor focused on protecting the people he was elected to serve.

You can allready get the black card (if you qualify) and skip the wait. I have six platnium cards (all for the signing bonus) and don’t even bother most of the time. I tried in landing at Safari last night and was told they are now “departures only”
What’s the solution to fix the @AmexBusiness Lounges? Charge $5k for the card? I feel like the biggest loser in the world every time I show up and am told it’s a 45 minute wait. I have 2 platinum cards.
First job at 11. 25 cents an hour in credit to use I. The store. So proud when I got that increased to 25 cents in cash AND 25 cents I. Credit. Till they hired another kid and he got the same rate without my starting point. I remeber that 50 years later.

United CEO Scott Kirby wants a national wealth tax and inheritance taxes approaching 100%. Why not focus on improving service for customers paying more and getting less? If he wants to help Americans, he should focus on his customers, not punitive taxes.

I guess finally having an edge on @Delta s CEO with good business decisions (Starlink) wasn’t enough for media attention so he decided to follow his competitor slow the dumb tweet hole to show he is clueless and not focused on his business. Now they are both there. Bozos.

Give people other peoples stuff, for free, and eventually it won’t be enough and they will want more free stuff. One of many reasons the EU is in fifth place in a two horse race.
