Spending time with my wonderful friend @wendypiltz at the Women in Sport 26 conference at @Adelaide Oval. We are the oldest in the room & have just heard that our brand & social media is very important. I'm remember when Brand(y) was the pain from a wet tennis ball.
When you are the only one in the media boxes for the AFLW at Alberton. Watching Erin's kids back in Adelaide playing in front of the Williams stand is a joy. Generations of fun. Looking for a big performance from the Power women. Not sure why AFLW should clash with men's final.
Watched her play at SMOSH. Would have loved to see her a few years younger as she would have torn up the AFLW. How are we not developing more of our indigenous women ?
Bronwyn Davey may come from a famous footy family, but the story of the 2026 AFLW Indigenous Round honouree is an epic one 🙌

After a week of watching Aust at Women's World Cup lacrosse @samtugwell_15 loving that we are finally getting to enjoy Aussies v Ireland in AFLW. So many good players & faster than club games. What an honour to be the first to play a genuine international of Aussie Rules #AFLW

Sir Len Hutton said: "Women playing cricket was like a man trying to knit". Others, when England Women played their first ODI at Lord's in 1976, wished for rain so they didn't have to watch.
Wish Rachael Heyhoe Flint was alive to see this day.
1986. ..The year when my friend @wendypiltz and I won the League Lacrosse Championship with College, the State Lacrosse Championship with South Australia and the World Lacrosse Championship with the Australian Team. Unicorn ? @womenofsportau @UniofAdelaide @LeaderSportSA
Psychology can be a funny thing at elite level. Be it social loafing when the oppo team has 10, the 2 -0 then 2-1 response or maybe even dealing with unfairness &/or deservedness as an individual or a team, the effect on the Belgium team & on the US players looks very different.

Back to back Sheffield Shield final centuries for Alex Carey to keep SA in the match! The Vics are 3-50 chasing 196 to claim the Sheffield Shield 🍿
And in the end only kindness matters. He did such a good job in this role. Funny nerdy but a strength of friendship mirroring what we all should have in our lives. RIP

If I was coaching an AFLW team, I'd have been chasing Chinaza Uchendu from Melbourne City ALeague. Perfect prototype for athleticism, decision making and could adapt kicking with a sherrin precision ball.
Star walking... "Don't ever say it's over while I'm breathing" .. feel for Zerev but Alcaraz is a star.
Go Hawks. Great game & condolences to my Rams supporting husband. Any other Adelaide Seahawks fans out there ?
