The Winnipeg Jets might be toast. Damn I feel terrible for you fans. The Helley trade may have broke you. That’s why you can’t just fold in trades.

The fact the #NHLJets are using Tyrel Bauer at forward for a second straight game and not bringing up someone like Brayden Yager just blows my mind.
Instead, they're still carrying 3 goalies and a couple players they clearly have 0 faith in (Niederreiter, Lambert)
Quinn Hughes left Vancouver
Brady Tkachuk left Ottawa
Connor Hellebuyck left Winnipeg
Dylan Larkin wants out of Detroit
Nikita Kucherov wants out of Tampa
All of this is ultimately leading towards Connor McDavid leaving Edmonton sooner rather than later.
Damn, I really rattled Oilers fans 😂
Wasn’t my intention but I guess they’re softer than you’d expect. All jokes aside I like McDavid, he’s done a lot for the game and the sport in Canada. I just don’t see him staying if they can’t get it done these next two years. —

Connor & Scheifele the moment Scott Arniel floats the idea of separating them
(the entire bottom 9 fwds have seven (7!) goals combined in 11 games)
Asked #NHLJets coach Scott Arniel if they’ve had talks about breaking up the top line with only 6 goals in 4 games as a team:
He cracks a bit of a smile and says: “Same old question yep. Will we split them up…”
“You know what I've talked to those two, and we’re 20th right now in scoring at five on five, and we're I think ninth in five on five against. So I'm not in panic mode here, but we're in five straight (losses). We've been in nine one goal games. So yes, I do need it. I like to tinker a little bit now that Mercer is here. I haven't had him. That was one game for him. So I’d like to tinker with some other lines first before I kind of go down that road.”

Haven’t even wanted to open this app postgame but talked to dozens of fans in the 300’s and outside the arena after game tonight. Even some of the most positive Jets fans I know were rock bottom after that everybody down bad

A message from Emily, Dustin, and the Byfuglien family to you, Winnipeg 💙
I’ve been trying to find the right words to describe what this weekend meant to our family, and I’m not sure I’ll ever be able to do it justice.
Winnipeg, you gave us something this weekend that I didn’t realize how much I needed. A goodbye we never really got to have.
The way our chapter in Winnipeg ended wasn’t how any of us imagined it would. There were a lot of emotions, a lot left unsaid, and a goodbye that never really happened. For years, I’ve carried a little sadness about that. Not because of the hockey, but because of the people.
Because Winnipeg was never just about hockey to us.
It was a city that embraced our family, watched our children grow, celebrated with us, and stood behind us through so many incredible years. The friendships, the memories, the familiar faces in the stands, and the kindness we experienced are things I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
Coming back this weekend and feeling that same love after all these years was overwhelming in the most beautiful way. Every hug, every kind word, every person who stopped us to share a memory or simply say hello reminded me just how special this city and its people truly are.
I know the ending was complicated. I know there were feelings on all sides. But this weekend reminded me that sometimes the love and memories you leave behind are bigger than the way a chapter ends.
And maybe that’s what made this weekend so emotional. We finally got to feel the goodbye we missed, and it was more beautiful than I could have imagined.
To the fans who loved and supported our family for all those years, and who welcomed us back like no time had passed, thank you. You gave us more than you probably realize.
Winnipeg will always hold a piece of my heart. Not because of the games, the wins, or the hockey, but because of the people who made it feel like home.
Some chapters don’t end the way we hoped. But sometimes, if we’re lucky, we get one more moment to remember just how beautiful they were.
Thank you, Winnipeg. For all of it. Xo
