When the Flyers picked up win #1000 on January 9, 1993, they had 321 ties in those 2,018 games.
If the shootout had been a thing for an equivalent percentage of those games that it’s been for Minnesota (about 83.6 pct of their 1,995 games), and the Flyers won 41.3 pct of those (PHI’s lifetime shootout win%), they would have won their 1000th game around game #1908, 110 games sooner than they did. Or 87 games faster than the Wild, more than a full season.
