HEY. YOU. LISTEN.
You matter. Right now. Today. Every effort counts, even the ones you feel are too small.
Stand up. Even if it hurts.
Especially if it feels impossible.
This is your fight. Your moment. Your life. Move:
1. Do something. Anything. One small action beats a thousand “I’ll start tomorrow”s.
2. Shut out the noise. Forget what drains you. Protect your energy.
3. Show up for yourself. Head high. Shoulders back. Eyes locked on what matters.
4. Build your power. Confidence is earned by action, not waiting.
No shortcuts. No excuses. No one has to cheer you on.
You are enough. You can rise. You will rise.
Get up. Step forward. Own your day. Dominate yourself, not anyone else.

If you were really in it for the tech, you’d be ballz deep in Zcash, where self-custody meets true cypherpunk privacy.
Nice to see a whole Zcash family built around holding and running your own node 👀

Your apps talk more than you think. Here's how to see it, and quiet them down. 5 minutes, iPhone.
1. See it first
Settings → Privacy & Security → App Privacy Report → turn on.
Why: Apple shows every address each app contacts. Some ordinary apps hit dozens in minutes.
2. Stop cross-app tracking
Privacy & Security → Tracking → off.
Why: apps can't follow you between apps with your advertising ID.
3. No background chatter
General → Background App Refresh → off for apps that don't need it.
Why: closed apps stop phoning home.
4. Check each app's own settings
Look for Privacy, Analytics or Data sharing. Switch off what's optional.
Why: many apps share usage data by default.
5. Local Network
Privacy & Security → Local Network → off for apps that don't need it.
Why: they shouldn't map the devices in your home.
6. Delete what you don't use
Why: no app, no connections.
Check the report again in a few days. Privacy you can see.
“Split it” because safety shouldn't come in a box with your home address on it.
Your seed phrase, split into three parts, fully offline.
Real self-custody, in your own hands.

I’m confused by the outrage from certain people around Crosslink. At this point, it’s an R&D effort. There’s no activation proposal or ZIPs, and it isn’t on the mainnet roadmap. It’s a prototype design that we’re testing and iterating on.
Research and experimentation are good for Zcash. Permissionless innovation means people can explore ideas without first securing everyone’s agreement, and the Zcash community should encourage that. Good-faith debate is how Zcash improves, and we welcome scrutiny of Crosslink’s design, assumptions, and tradeoffs.
We’re working on Crosslink because we think stronger protection against reorg and rollback attacks may be a necessary security upgrade for Zcash at some point. AI or other forces could eventually challenge the security assumptions behind PoW, and our thesis is that a hybrid model may offer stronger security than either pure PoW or pure PoS.
Shielded Labs’ mission is to protect the long-term security of Zcash. It’s a common theme across all our projects, including Crosslink, the Network Sustainability Mechanism (NSM), and Epoch. We also demonstrated that commitment by bringing on Taylor Hornby as a security researcher to use AI tools to identify potential vulnerabilities, which uncovered the Orchard counterfeiting bug. We want to address potential risks before they become urgent, and recent events have shown the value of being forward-looking.
The burden of proof is on us. If we want Crosslink included in a future network upgrade, it’s our responsibility to demonstrate consensus. But that’s still a long way off. For now, we’re focused on improving the design, incorporating user feedback, and working toward a production-ready implementation for the community and coinholders to evaluate.
There’s still a lot of work to do before we’d propose Crosslink for mainnet, and we plan to run it on testnet for an extended period of time. If you disagree with Crosslink, challenge the design and help us understand what we’re missing. We all want Zcash to succeed. Let’s focus on strengthening and protecting Zcash as a whole by giving research and experimentation room to happen.
If you're interested in learning more about Crosslink or participating in the incentivized testnet, feel free to DM me.
Hardware wallet data breaches prove one thing: your device isn’t your security.
Your seed phrase is.
Store it wrong, and one leak, phishing attack, or compromised backup can cost you everything.
Self-custody without seed phrase security is just self-deception.
“Trust the blockchain. Trust the math.”
But if the math doesn’t show a ZERO chance of generating or guessing a valid seed phrase…
Why does everyone act like it’s impossible?
Am I missing something?
Alternatives to hardware wallets? 🔐
After yet another hardware wallet company suffers a customer data breach, it’s worth asking whether we really need to rely on these companies to secure our crypto.
Even if private keys remain safe, leaked names, email addresses, shipping addresses and purchase histories can expose crypto holders to phishing, scams and targeted attacks.
So what are the alternatives?
1. Air-gapped smartphone
Use an old, dedicated smartphone that stays offline to generate keys and sign transactions. No hardware wallet manufacturer or new device purchase required, but setup and recovery need to be handled carefully.
2. Software wallet on a dedicated phone
A reputable non-custodial wallet on a clean, regularly updated device. Convenient, but still exposed to malware and operating-system vulnerabilities.
3. Multisig self-custody
Require multiple independent keys to authorize transactions. One compromised key isn’t enough to steal your funds. More complex, but worth considering for larger holdings.
4. Minimize your data footprint
Whichever solution you choose, consider how you purchase devices, what personal information you share, and how your identity gets linked to your crypto holdings.
My takeaway: hardware wallets can still provide excellent security, but they aren’t risk-free. Device security, supply chains, customer databases and privacy are separate parts of the threat model.
The goal isn’t simply to find another brand. It’s to find a setup that protects both your funds and your identity.
What do you use for long-term crypto storage? Hardware wallet, air-gapped device, multisig, or something else?
Let’s discuss the alternatives. 👇
Keystone team are legends, shipping shielded Zcash as one of the first
don’t get me wrong but this is it… I am never ever ever ever ever going to order ANYTHING crypto related online. Period.
We owe you an apology.

Does Zcash need Crosslink?
$ZEC already has privacy. Crosslink aims to strengthen its security.
Today, Zcash relies on Proof of Work (mining). Crosslink proposes adding Proof of Stake to help finalize blocks, making confirmed transactions much harder to reverse.
Why does it matter? 👇
1. Stronger protection against chain reorganizations
2. Two layers of security: PoW + PoS
3. Potential staking rewards for ZEC holders
4. Privacy-conscious staking design
5. More ways for holders to help secure Zcash
The goal isn’t to replace mining. It’s to add another layer of defense while giving holders a more active role.
Privacy is the foundation. Stronger finality is the goal. Holder participation is the opportunity.
Crosslink remains a proposal, and I like the idea. What about you?
I like my Bitcoin like I like my Zcash: decentralized, hard to censor, and nobody’s business.
Bitcoin is freedom.
Zcash is financial privacy.
Not your keys, not your coins. Not your privacy, not your freedom.
