🎶Finally, we can relate🎶 🎶Now we’re side by side, this is fate🎶 Hello everyone. This is a tad different from my usual posts. Usually I have time to articulate everything in the credits sequence of a game. It’s funny that Sonic Colours DS had TWO credits sequences… Yet I was unable to articulate myself in either because like Sonic, they go by fast! So I’ll start off by saying that this is like a full circle moment for me. I started YouTube around Late September 2013 as a 12 year old on my first channel which was named after my deadname. I used a random picture I had found on the internet about “Mario & Sonic Worlds Collide!” because I thought it was cool (I’ll show it in the images section), and I posted my first Let’s Play. That being Sonic Colours DS (though I used an American ROM. Y’all spell Colours wrong! Neglecting the U smh). As I said in the Let’s Play that I have just finished, I aimed my shoddy webcam toward my monitor (which was connected to an at-the-time Windows XP PC) and recorded via DeSmuMe). Now, since this PC wasn’t very powerful, I only got around 15-10 frames a second (40/50 if you want an equivilent for modern gaming) and I had a blast! I remembered I always called the Let’s Play “Let’s Play Soinc Colours” misspelling Sonic’s name because I typed too fast! And Captain SEET tooth (Captain Sweet Tooth also mispelled) makes me giggle to this day. Though, as we know, I never finished the Let’s Play. I beat Aquarium Park and dipped. There are reasons for this. The main one being my Appendacitus which kept me in hospital from October to the end of December. The second reason being because I wanted to record on actual hardware (Via Webcam of course). My first collabs were actually with three friends I have briefly mentioned before. The first was my first online friend who went by Laron. Now goes by InfernoLJay! He was, believe it or not, my first subscriber as well! We collabed and even made a collab channel. However none of that is available anymore I believe. The second friend was John Oghomi! I collabed with him a few times before he left in 2018. The first was Sonic Unleashed Part 6 / Spagonia Night January 2014. Then, it was discussing the Nintendo NX (Switch but NX at the time lol) in 2017. Third, was my friend (who messages me and I just don’t get around to messaging back whoops) John the Hedgehog. I collabed with them (and John Oghomi in the same episode!) in their Luigi’s Mansion Let’s Play. When I was doing Let’s Plays I also ventured into Live Stream Playthroughs! My first was Luigi’s Mansion and PIKMIN. Though I also did SEGA Superstars Tennis as well. Alongside that was New Super Mario Bros. For Nintendo DS. Though that one actually ran pretty well on my PC strangely enough. I also remember doing Sonic Adventure 2 Battle for Gamecube. As well as three streams on Wind Waker for GCN when a school friend let me borrow his copy for a week (I got stuck on Dragon Roost Cavern lol) and I recorded Sonic Riders 2P videos with my cousin (Who still remembers it believe it or not!) as well as Sonic Riders Zero Gravity. Then I deleted the channel in 2015. Rebranded for a year. Came fully back on December 31st 2016 at 23:55 (I remember that specifically because I was in bed frantically trying to get access to my old email lol) I wish I hadn’t deleted any of my old content. But I’m glad it exists in memory and can be relived through potential revisits or Let’s Plays. I truly did it for fun back then, and still do now. I assume you all know that; otherwise why would you subscribe? It doesn’t make any sense! I’ve stayed with this platform for 13 years. 13 years of Let’s Playing, restarting, rebranding… It’s chaotic, but I don’t intend to restart or rebrand anymore! Now, tomorrow (or the day after) Ocarina of Time will be uploaded to the channel! I’ll be honest, this is the last game I intend to play that is new. I want to knock out all my older Let’s Plays. From both the 2013-2015 era, as well as the 2016-2023 era. I want to get my catalogue bulked out. Though, that doesn’t mean I won’t add in games that were absent in both catalogues! An idea I had, was to actually potentially do a Breath of the Wild Let’s Play and dive more into general Nintendo/Sega content (though, BOTW was in my 2018 list lol). Other ideas I had included short playthroughs of things like Space Channel 5. With my commentary over my gameplay because that game requires focus! Or games like Wii Sports where I can talk about my time with the game and such. I’d call it ‘Let’s Visit’ since it wouldn’t be a FULL series, but would be a sitdown where we can talk about the game (or play the game in a one-off series). For Versus content, after Mario Kart World VERSUS, me and Splat Koopa have something in 2027 that will hopefully be enjoyable to all of you! Not spoiling anything… But it’s going to be a GRAND adventure! I have a few more versus ideas and a few people I had in mind to ask to do Versus content with, but outside of my own channel, I’ve actually been in Versus Royale’s over on the Versus Channel! I was welcomed with basically open arms and I feel like I’m a staple now of Versus to some extent (as much as Royale’s allow me to be!). Finally, other collabs and streams. For other collabs, it’s really a bridge of nerves I have to cross. The versus content is like a gateway to me. However, I hope you can understand that it’s been 9-13 years since I’ve done a collab! So, tackling collaborations has many… anxiety points for me. I hope we can get collabs going since I did do those before 2018. Again, I have a few names in mind for collabs but I do want to extend my hand to you all and ask you to let me know if you would like to see anyone on the channel! If you do, comment below! Second-finally, Streams. I have done streams since basically 2014 (and we had the Splatoween special stream on Nov 1!). If I were to do streams, they would be multiplayer games. So Mario Kart lobbies, Splatoon 3 lobbies etc. I’d use the YouTube switch acc (KosmikTym) and we’d have some fun evenings and such! I think that about sums up my thoughts. One last final thing, I promise. DISCORD. As in, a discord server. If I were to make one, and feel free to let me know if you’d want it to be made, then let me know. I’ve just had awful experiences running servers before (thanks to certain things) so owning a whole discord server would be… Interesting for me! That’s about it. Thank you to everyone who stuck around and will continue to stick around. Here’s to 13 years of Youtube, and a hell of a lot more to come :) - Kosmik
