Welcome to my first #tweetorial! Inspired by @NnekaUfereMD's talk @AASLDtweets to give back as a trainee There are many things to discuss with #cirrhosis patients. Ascites, HE, varices, HCC, transplant, GOC, rehab: the list goes on. #Nutrition needs to be part of that routine!

🚨 #GIfellows heading to #ACG2026 add this one to your registration @AmCollegeGastro For $25, the Trainee Luncheon is absolutely worth it. Beyond the Scope: Non-Traditional Paths in GI 📅 Sunday, October 11 ⏰ 12:20–1:35 PM CT GI careers can look like so much more than clinic + endoscopy. This is your chance to hear about different career paths, ask questions, make connections, and start thinking about what your version of a career in GI could look like. If you’re a fellow, I strongly recommend making the small additional investment and joining us. Come for lunch, leave with ideas, connections, and maybe a career path you hadn’t considered. @BilalMohammadMD @Meghs1119 @MccutchenDr @JasonDominitz & many others are looking foward to seeing you there! #ACG2026 #GITrainees #GIfellows #Gastroenterology #GIMentorship #GICareers

This is such an incredible resource and obviously was labor of love. Thanks for all you did to make this such an easy to use quick reference site for both summaries and primary sources!
Many of you know I love timelines & I have been updating the one on IBD trials/studies for some time🧵 The landscape is changing fast & there isnt enough space here to share all the content As such I have created a website to collect it all and to make it interactive

Happy 100th birthday to my Grammy today who has been there all along the way! Grew up in Minnesota in the depression and has lived in the same house in NJ since the early 50s! @smuckers

Obviously there have been lots of passionate responses to the #colonoscopy trial and its media portrayal. All of us in the field have seen the utility of the test for individual average/high risk patients who have been opportunistically invited/offered + then completed the exam

"A one-size-fits-all approach to CRC screening has not and is unlikely to result in increased screening uptake or desired outcomes, owing to barriers stemming from behavioral, culture and socioeconomic causes..." pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/3263… This AGA white paper is a must read.

Just my 2 cents on observing #gitwitter over the last few days and digesting the #nordicc + media response. I appreciate and am proud of this community of leaders who want to make a difference for patients and the population.

The finding that colonoscopies are great for the people who actually get them, but not as great for the population as a whole (including those who can't/won't get them), is a pretty decent analogy for the American health care system in general.
