Did you know that by 2050, antimicrobial resistance (AMR) could claim more lives annually than cancer? The silent threat is already at our doorsteps and it's affecting our mothers, children, and even the food we eat? #9jaamrclubsagainstamr @amr_program @FUTAkure @AMRCLUB_FUTA

This ichafu discuss, I really don't like talking about matters that breed so much animosity between tribes, but igbos do wear ichafu, it just happens to be similar to the yoruba gele. I'm from delta state, ogwashi-uku, my grandma has always called her head gear ichafur. I do think it was popularised by yorubas but the head gear just shows the similarity in culture and I think that's beautiful, and it shouldn't cause this much tribal war.

African culture no dey ever tell una how to build infrastructure or world record breaking research, it’s only how to limit women.
If we are to respect African culture, A married woman is not supposed to be seen at any party once it's 8Pm except she's with her husband. If a married woman is coming back to the village from abroad, she's expected to go straight to her husband house, offload her laugages there before going to visit her own father's house.

Girl to Girl, You see what ODUMODU is doing? That’s exactly how a man who loves you shows up for you. It only appears shameful because it’s on the internet. In real life, men show up like this and more. Forget the rubbish men are throwing at him, they know the truth, most of them are either damaged or pretending. I just pray that she never gives him a reason to second guess her loyalty to him. Trey him as a king forever!

This is interesting and will particularly be relevant in rural communities . Other Tropical diseases could adopt the same machine learning model.
Treasure Okegbola developed a machine learning model that detects malaria from blood samples. We ran a live test today, and it was amazing. She will be training it on other diseases so that people can run quality and free tests in their homes. It can then detect even diseases people may not be aware of. She says this will be her way of supporting poor families who can’t afford quality healthcare or are afraid to do tests because of cost. I have always known that Treasure will make a great impact in the world. What a start!

Dudu osun is actually a very good soap.
SOAPS YOU SHOULD’NT BE USING 1. Dudu Osun 2. Okin soap 3. Tura soap 4. Delta medicated soap 5. Irish spring bar 6. Septol medicated bar 7. Extra Clair soap 8. Premier medicated soap 9. Safeguard anti bacterial bar 10. Tetmosol bar ( sulfur included ) 11. Savlon antiseptic soap 12. Idole lightening soap These soaps are considered to be high in alkalinity ( high PH ) which can strip away the skins natural oils and nutrients. They also contains strong additives and fragrance which can trigger allergies and breakouts . Some people even go as far as using it on their faces . Please stop 🙏

I think working in healthcare for a long time can make you forget that what feels like an ordinary, almost mundane complaint to you can be someone else’s worst or scariest day. We become so familiar with illness that we sometimes forget what it feels like to not know what is
But why are coming to the hospital by 2am because you have a headache that started 3days ago? You’ve already done a test at one pharmacy close to your house and you’re treating malaria, but you just want a doctor to confirm. By 2am. Okay o.

She explains it better here….
The other day when I said Nigerians are a very low IQ people, some people came for me. Is this not evidence of a low IQ population? The fact that there are some brilliant Nigerians pulling their weight around the world does not negate the fact that the large majority of the populace in Nigeria are either plain stupid or educated and still stupid. There are just too many low-IQ people roaming around, and any real change has to start with mass education and enlightenment.

I'm so sheltered by the people I surround myself with that I sometimes forget how different the world can be outside my little bubble. I’m surrounded by so much openness, curiosity and empathy that I forget there are still so many people whose worldview is shaped by prejudice

I have noticed a trend with men. When a man does something terrible to a woman, they rarely care about the repercussions of his actions on the woman. They don't care about how it affects her life, her mental health, her future, or the trauma she has to live with. Instead, the conversation is always about the man. "Why would he do that to himself?" "Why would he risk his future?" "Why didn't he think before doing that?" Not because of what he did to a woman, or the harm he caused her, but because of what it might cost him. The Odogwu Asaba case is a perfect example. A young woman lost her life after being raped, and instead of focusing on the fact that a woman had been harmed, traumatized, and ultimately died, so many people were more concerned about how he had ruined his own life. Some even reduced the entire conversation to whether the girl was pretty enough, as if that was the tragedy. It's always jarring to watch because it reveals how little empathy many people have for women, especially men. A woman can lose her peace, her dignity, her future, or even her life, and somehow the concern is still centered on the man and what he stands to lose. Men genuinely do not care about women at all. They don't care about what happened to us women. They only care that a man might finally face the consequences of what he did.
