compiled everything we know about Sponsoring YouTubers into one guide
from "we should probably try youtube" to 10-20 creators messaged
built 50+ interviews with people who run creator campaigns for a living, plus 2m+ sponsorships we've indexed across 5 years of youtube transcripts
inside:
1) the four ways to start a search
2) how to read a sponsorship history before you pull an email. one-and-done is a warning. five deals over two years converts
3) what creators actually quote, and why most first deals land $500-$5,000
4) the competitor-roster search. run this one if you run nothing else
not behind an email form. not for sale
dm me "SCOUT" and I'll send you the full guide
new in Scout 🐦 this week:
1/ Campaigns: turn any list into a campaign, Prospect to Paid on one board

3/ Faster Scout: header and search load right away

150+ signed up for Scout after my post last week, so I wanted to share something even bigger we're working on solving for creator marketing:
Campaign tracking
Most brands still run creator campaigns out of a spreadsheet + Gmail inbox + a lot of 'wait did we already follow up?'
SO... we made the agent do the work.
And its literally my favorite thing I've ever used for running a creator campaign.
Just start a new campaign, add your creators (either from AI search, or upload an existing roster) and Scout
> tracks all the emails
> detects quotes and counters
> updates statuses for you
> all real-time in the dashboard.
v1 is now in beta, DM for early access - going live to all users in the next week! 🤠

one brand is paying 80% of this specific niche in tech review's... and you probably have their products in your bag right now

we found out with one message in Claude:
"show me the brands sponsoring creators like MKBHD with the Scout MCP"
back came every repeat sponsor, 39 one-offs, and the category moving in next (AI tools)
swap MKBHD for any channel. brands get a target list, creators and talent managers get a pitch list
5+ years of sponsorship history, inside the chat you already have open

sneak peek 👀
we’re launching campaign management on friday

campaigns tie it all together 🐦 stay tuned!
Bad creator searches start with a keyword
Good ones start with a creator
Lookalike search reads the channel you love and finds the ones making the same content for the same audience
paste any channel, get 25 back
the creator you want is booked, out of budget, or ghosting you
the 25 that look just like them aren’t
> marketers: clone your winners
> founders: skip the one you can’t afford
> talent: find who’s spending in your category

2M subs still scored below a 60K channel.
NOT A TYPO
Scout's fit score can rank a 2M-subscriber channel below a 60K one. because "big audience" is not the same as "good fit."
it looks at meaningful views, channel topics, prior sponsor history, and the actual brief.
subscriber count is a loud number. fit is the one that gets expensive to ignore $$$
1,228 paid YouTube sponsorships in the week of October 6-12, across 264 brands
@FanDuel and @PrizePicks bought 26% of them. @DraftKings fell 56%
biggest climbers:
1/ PrizePicks, +47 videos
2/ @HelixSleep, 11 → 25
3/ @factormeals, 6 → 16
the top of the board barely moves. the movers are the story
which one would you have pitched?

new in Scout 🐦 this week:
1/ Pricing Reset: no more credits, search is unlimited
2/ Rebuilt Search: brief, URL, or list in, refine without starting over
3/ Creator Pages: rates, videos, past sponsors for every creator
4/ Scout Score: 0-100 fit for the search you're running
2k+ creators have already claimed their page and set their own rates
your first 100 are free, each one scored, priced, and showing who's already paid them
the guessing game of creator sponsorships is ending 🐦
we just deleted credits from scout.
search is free now. every search, every filter, the whole creator directory.
you pay for two things: unlocking a creator, and sending outreach.
here’s the breakdown:
1/ credits priced the wrong thing.
you paid per creator a search returned, so the part you do most, searching, was the part that cost money.
2/ the real change is the unlock.
before: credits for the email. more for audience data. more for a trust check. more for a rate estimate. you paid field by field.
now: one click, the whole profile.
3/ free on every plan:
> searching
> filtering
> the creator directory
> every creator page
> rate estimates and fit scores
none of it touches your plan.
4/ two meters, that’s it.
creator unlock: business email, audience demographics, scout score
outreach send: the email you actually send
and if we can’t find an email, the unlock doesn’t count against you.
5/ both reset at the start of each month, no rollover.
searching is unlimited so there’s nothing to save up anyway.
we realize whats worth paying for was never the search:
it’s the creator who’s worth an intro & that’s what we price now.

100 creators, free
each one with a fit score for your brand, an estimated rate, and every brand that's already paid them
